Exactly. In his later years, Inouye turned into a Leftist Dingbat; he even joined with members of the BCC to try and convince at-the-time Vice President Algore to refuse to certify the 2000 Electoral College results, because he, along with them, believed Chimp Bush had Stolen that election.

A Democrat who is vindictive and feuds for king of the hill with the ghosts of others of his own party? No way.

That said, agreed with Blake above that Inouye doesn’t have the right to name his successor for when he inevitably dies in his seat – which was his clear intention by the way, he already gave indication that he’d run in 2016 at the age of 92. This was Abercrombie’s prerogative, whether or not he chose out of desire to be a d-bag to a dead man.
