to tell you the truth, the sight of a democratic president finally spanking around the gop is very satisfying. so forgive me if i’m outraged by the size and lack of specificity of the spending cuts offered. (as i said, you need to get acquainted with the concept of bargaining.) i say let the gop eat a nice big shit sandwich first, that’s what we need before we start fixing things.

$425B over 10 years is a sick joke, other offers included spending increases, and the $4 trillion “grand bargain” was a figment of Obama’s imagination that had no Democrat support.

he made a concrete offer to keep rates the same on income under $250 grand, dodo. the only reason the gop rejected it is because their concern is, as usual, with the rich.
