Report: GOP senators won’t confirm Kerry until Clinton testifies on Benghazi
“The Senate is expected to take up Kerry’s nomination in early January, but multiple Republican senators have already said they won’t agree to a vote on Kerry’s nomination until Clinton testifies about the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi,” The Cable’s Josh Rogin notes.
Clinton backed out of testifying at a congressional hearing last week after fainting and suffering a concussion. She was the first cabinet-level official to acknowledge that terrorists played a role in the assault on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Yeah, suuure they won’t. Republicans are all bark (mostly yapping) and no bite. Mr. Demagogue in Chief will do his thing with the media and the Repubs will get in line.

Wow, indeed. Who are these Republicans?

Until the MSM calls them “meanies”, at which time the GOP will cave. How many sequels do we have to see before we call for a new plot?

They must have finally hired a Democrat consultant.

No way. McClame, Grahamnesty, and the rest can’t wait to scurry across the aisle to get along (and show those awful Tea Partiers!).

How exactly will this be effective? The won’t confirm a Secretary of State until the old SecState testifies?
And what if she doesn’t? Then no SecState until they get their way?
And this is supposed to improve the Republican brand?

Good. Very good.

So, she goes to Congress and lies and denies, and then the Democrats point to her testimony as ‘the final word’ and refuse to discuss the matter further.
Why not? It’s not as though the ‘pubbies will actually do anything.

Don’t get ahead of yourself. This sounds good, but the GOP has always been good at talking a good game. The problem has been that when the chips are down, they usually cave.
Regardless, Harry Reid has already made it clear he has no intention of respecting the rules and traditions of the Senate. So what makes us think that he will allow the GOP to block her confirmation vote? Oh, sure, it’s always been the case that any Senate can place a hold on a nomination, or that Senators can filibuster the confirmation vote, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry Reid pulls an Obama and just decides those rules no longer apply with a wave of his hand.
Trust me, the corruption, arrogance, and power grabbing we saw over the last four years will pale in comparison to what is about to begin.
