Poll: Americans’ optimism about fiscal cliff deal in decline
The slight majority of Americans, 54%, now approve of Obama’s handling of the negotiations, up from 48% a week ago. This coincides with a slight increase in Obama’s overall job approval rating in Gallup Daily tracking, to 56% Dec. 17-19 from 50% Dec. 14-16. That increase may at least partly reflect Americans’ response to Obama’s actions in the aftermath of the tragic Newtown, Conn., school shootings Dec. 14, combined with his ongoing efforts in regard to the fiscal cliff.
At the same time, public approval of congressional Democratic leaders’ performance in the budget negotiations rose 11 percentage points to 45%, while Reid’s approval rating rose 10 points to 34%. There has been no significant change in ratings of Republican leaders generally, or of Republican House Speaker John Boehner specifically.

No relief will come from Washington. Personally, I think all of the GOP there should vote “present” on every bill put in front of them. Allow the Dims to do anything they want …
The result will be outrage in the Red States at the Federal Government and that’s when real change can happen – when States start saying “No”.
People think that Conservatives lost the election – yeah they did, but they didn’t lose the South. As long as the Southern States are blood red conservative, there’s no way the liberal agenda can succeed. I mean – they may think that if they conquer Washington DC that everyone south of the Mason Dixon will roll over and become libbies – but they are smoking some very mind altering dope in thinking that.

Because this nation is sick in the head and it’s soul is rotten. I am having a very hard time finding a reason why it should continue.
