“Guys, it’s not your country anymore – it’s our country and you’re part of it”
SAM DONALDSON: The minorities re-elected president Obama, but I’m going with Katty. It’s the Tea Party and thinking of the Tea Party and people like that that are driving the Republicans out of contention as a national party. You cannot win nationally if you don’t know something about the way the country’s changed, and the Tea Party seems to think the country can go back 25 or 30 years. The greatest slogan that I hated during this last campaign was “We want to take back our country.” Guys, it’s not your country anymore – it’s our country and you’re part of it, but that thinking is going to defeat Republicans nationally if they don’t get rid of it.

If they get rid of it, they get rid of the party, the philosophy and the moral underpinnings of America. Hay Sam, when everything comes crashing down, and it will, if you get your way, you won’t be so smug then. And I bet you’ll be rethinking the second amendment too, jacka$$.

Oh, and Merry Christmas.

Wrong Sammy. The ideology of the T.E.A. party is that we must stop a runaway giveaway train that is draining the national treasury. The Left needs us to take back the country before they break it and it becomes unusable by all. They are just too damn ignorant to realize it. Much like a child who resents his parents for not letting him play with gasoline and a lighter.
Once again the LSM fails to comprehend the most simple and basic purpose of the Tea Party. The survival of the Republic for all.

Sam Donaldson has as much relevance as Michael Moore. Please ignore them both.

Sam got popped a couple of weeks ago for DUI. Maybe, he’s drunk again.
Blake on December 25, 2012 at 8:39 AM
So drunk forger Sam Donaldson tells a group concerned about economics that they’re wrong for not worrying about race and gender politics?
.
Does he also tell baseball teams they need to do a better job with rebounds?
LincolntheHun on December 25, 2012 at 8:39 AM
The winner got 51% of the vote. Yeah. I don’t think I’d turn my back on the other side, Sam.

What the h*ll is everyone joking about? He’s right, did the last election not show us anything? It is their country, has been for a while.

Nothing like a liquored-up has been reporter to put everyone in their place, eh?
Hey Sam, pour another shot, stfd & stfu. No one is interested in what you have to say.

If it’s “our country,” then you Progressives and Lefties own the cliff and the impending catastrophe. It’s yours buddy. All yours.

So, if it’s not our country any more, why should we stick around?
True Americans should just divorce themselves from Blue State America. That can take many forms, such as secession. But it can also mean simply not doing business with anyone who voted Democrat and supports Obama. Firing any known Democrats in your company. Breaking up with a Democrat spouse or girlfriend. Telling all Democrat friends in your life to “eff” off.
It’s Christmas Day. Good time to divorce, defriend and deemploy all the Dems in your life.
ericdondero on December 25, 2012 at 9:13 AM
Some day it will probably come to that, but first we have to acknowledge it. There are far to many on the right that are as willfully blind as those on the left. As evidenced by the ridicule of Donaldson, the guy’s absolutely right.
lowandslow on December 25, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Sam, are you still drinking while waiting for your DUI hearing?
So, if Sammy were just a regular person, we’d see this:

What is it with this country after elections? We’re served more bullshit than before elections. Donaldsons drivel is as stupid as Roves “Permanent Republican Majority” or Tanenhaus’ “Death of Conservatism”.
Valkyriepundit on December 25, 2012 at 9:24 AM
The guy’s delusional in a way that is classic progressive liberal. He interprets one word objectively..”our” country, as being narrow minded, but then, in the same sentence, uses the same word, in the same context, as making perfect sense, and completely misses the point.

Did he mind when Hillary used to say she wanted to take back her country from Bush?
juliesa on December 25, 2012 at 10:08 AM
How so? As stoaty pointed out, 51% (of the roughly 52% of eligible voters) thought the dems ideas were worth getting off the couch to bother to vote.
So Sammy’s “our” country makes up a little over 25% of the voting age people…with a increasing number of young people not of voting age leaning conservative.

You just keep hoping for that miracle election that proves him wrong. I don’t need an election to see the obvious and I don’t know what good it does to pretend this isn’t a liberal/leftist nation. We as conservative haven’t even been able to slow the takeover of liberalism in this country.
Unrestrained immigration both legal and illegal, dependency on the state, capitulation to the social agenda in regards to all homosexual, race and gender issues, the transformation of major industrial cities to something that resembles third world cities, etc., etc. And that’s not even taking in account the liberal ideology in regards to governing along with fiscal and economic issues.
But go ahead and laugh at Donaldson for pointing what should be the obvious.

“Guys, it’s not your country…”
Guy’s??guy’s??
Me thinks Sammy is a bit of a sexist.
Mimzey on December 25, 2012 at 10:56 AM
You provide nothing but opinion.
The facts are that Obamas progressive agenda was supported by a little more than 25% of the voting age population.
Mimzey on December 25, 2012 at 10:59 AM
Are you that freak’n blind? Do we not have government more geared to socialism then capitalism? Are gays not allowed in the military? Are we still letting in Muslims and illegal Latinos in droves? Is gay marriage becoming more and more acceptable? Isn’t Detroit, Birmingham, East Saint Louis, etc. pretty much no go zones that resemble third world sh*tholes? Do we not run our Governments on borrowed and printed money that does nothing but feed the bureaucratic and entitlement machine?
Quit thinking in terms of percentages in some election or poll and look around. Good grief.

Heh. Right here in lovely Lewes, Delaware, no less.
UltimateBob on December 25, 2012 at 11:13 AM
Perhaps I missed the context, but, I think Sam’s saying that no one party controls the country.
It’s the peoples country. You know for the people, by the people, of the sheeple?
Now if the numb sculls in Washington would get the message we might get more than a lick and a promise. Lets begin with getting & keeping our civil liberties. Disbanding ruinous regulatory agencies that write their own laws without the balance of justice. Individual property rights. Wait that’s what the Tea Party is in favor of … never mind.
Perhaps we should rename the tea party the 99 with the one percent being those in the sink hole called DC.
How about the Civil Liberty Group, or The Underdogs?
