“Are you guys incompetent or what?”
“Are you guys incompetent, or what?” she askes the senator, noting that both Republicans and Democrats accuse each other of not having a “balanced approach.”
“I mean, if you can’t do this, if you can’t do what the American people pay you to do, why don’t you just step aside and put somebody in there who can actually get a deal done?” she continued in a no-nonsense tone.
After Cardin blames Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner for preventing the process from “moving forward,” saying Democrats have been ready, Bartiromo proceeds with little patience and little expectation of a straight answer:
“So how come you’re not moving forward? What’s the problem? Because the American people are so tired of this, and they are really tired of the lawmakers thinking that the American people are stupid. You can’t keep coming on the show every week saying the same thing– ‘it’s not a balanced approach.’”

Ma’am, you don’t speak for the American people.
The American people endorsed exactly this situation by casting the votes that they did. They could have retaken the Senate and appointed a Republican President, but they didn’t. For that matter, they could have given the House back to the Dems, but they didn’t.
There is no holier-than-thou position in this. The refuses to call it like it is. The electorate voted for divided government and has received it. The elected officials are taking the positions they campaigned on.
In a republic, the nation gets precisely the government that it chooses, and precisely the government it deserves.

Now they call the Dems on their winner take all attitude? People have been ingrained to think all our problems will be solved by taxing the rich, too little and too late now to convince them spending is the problem.

Where are POTUS Tweedle Dee and Vice POTUS Tweedle Dumb, and Little Fairy Reid in all this? The Senate in violation of the Law has not passed a budget in 6 years and its Boehner and the Repubs fault? The POTUS had a plan that got zero votes in either house. Fault to dems. Let it burn!
