Emotions run high as Newtown splits over gun control
Some at the meeting called for increased controls on guns, but others said taking them away from law-abiding citizens was not the answer.
“I’m horrified at what has happened in Newtown,” said Rev. Joseph Pace. “I certainly support a ban on assault weapons and also much more attention, funds and support given to those who are mentally ill.”…
Others disagreed. “If you want to prevent crime, get the criminals off the street and keep them off the street,” said Ed Peruta.
“The root cause of why [Adam Lanza] did this, had nothing to do with assault rifles. He would have found another way to do this,” said another man.

They’re smoking dope if they think they can get away with confiscatory gun laws.
Let them try though – it’ll be hilarious.

Obama and his goons are licking their chops. They love to see ignorance in full bloom so they can take advantage of it. Chances are most people don’t even know what “semi-automatic” is much less the vague “assault weapon”.

After obamacare, I think we have to accept that there is no limit to what the feds will do.

Congresscritters are gonna have some hard choices to make when it reconvenes. Which “crisis” will give me the most air time?

Considering that Newtown is in the northern part of ultra-Bleu Fairfield County, one might think that there would not be such a split. But in fact the town nearly split the vote last month between Dear Leader and Romney.

What they will try. One sentence flusters them.
“the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”.

No “crisis” overrides the Bill of Rights.

On top of this we also have the ambush shooting of firefighters in NY. It’s going to be hard to calm the grabbers down if there is another shooting in the coming weeks.

Signed,

Reichstag fire, anybody?

Though they haven’t released the name, the shooter is suppose to be a harden criminal. So, I doubt he got his guns legally.

It is sad to see the anguish of Newton dragged through the exploitative slime of propaganda that has been smeared across the media since the tragedy occurred. Representative Larson should be ashamed.

Are you a total moron? So Adam lanza, and now ex-con William Spengler, are undercover agents killing people so that the feds can grab your guns. You really are a nutjob.

We’ve had this debate at the Bumpkin estate.
My wife, a normally sensible person, says the rifles are scary looking, why would anybody want something like that?
I tried to explain that this is the next stage in the evolution of the rifle. From muzzle loader to single shot cartridge to lever, bolt action to semi auto.
These frightening black rifles won’t do anything harder, faster oftener than the ones with the furniture grade walnut fittings.
No, I didn’t convince her but what does she know, she married me

You trust and believe bureaucrats and politicians. You think they’re out to help you. A classic definition of a “nutjob”.
darwin on December 24, 2012 at 5:20 PM
His name was William Spengler. Killed his grandma decades ago and thus as a convicted felon, he was not allowed to legally own a weapon.
Expert on same checks in.
Did you know that your Dear Leader has prosecuted 45% less gun nuts than Chimpy Bush did? No, I didn’t think so.

Check it out. Ace found a guy who posted the personal information from the Publisher of the interactive map of NY gun owners.
In has the publishers personal info as well as the CEO and the writer of the article. This is all public information of course.
