Why Boehner will (probably) be fine
But consider this: a weakened Boehner in the speakership may be exactly what conservatives ultimately want. Having one of their own atop the House puts the burden on them to actually govern, find common ground with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Obama, and marshal an effective electoral strategy for the 2014 midterm elections.
Remaining on the outside of a leadership team that is not in firm control of the House conference gives movement leaders the freedom to operate and push their agenda with none of the responsibilities that come with actually being in charge.

Because the GOP political elite in Washington like being lifetime politicians and playing the Dems’ same game over and over again.

Thinking like that is what got us into this mess.
There is precious little ground with a mental case (and I mean that literally) like Harry Reed. When will people realize that we conservatives will not rest until the freedoms we are granted by our Creator are restored and protected by the government.
And playing “compromise” with the enemy will not further that.

The Republican leadership are losers. They are comfortable being losers. They like being on the back bench. Every time they have a chance to succeed, they deliberately shoot themselves in the foot (Bob Dole? John McCain? C’mon!). The sooner true conservatives learn this fact and start their own party, the sooner the country will begin to emerge from the dark nightmare it’s currently voting itself.
In the mean time, let it burn.

No need to read. Boehner will probably be fine because the Republican party no longer even remotely tries to so much as say it represents me let alone actually represent me.

This includes the Republican party.

When did this become a requirement? They shouldn’t spend one second trying to find “common ground”. Do what you know is the right thing, explain it as well as you can, and be done with it. Quit playing politics.

Boehner would do good to resign. I’m a defender of the Speaker. But now hes lost his reputation and credibility, by the betrayal of his own party members.
