“I am disgusted and appalled to read these accounts of what patients and their relatives went through”
An NHS hospital has apologised to 38 families after a patient starved to death and it left other dying people screaming in pain.
Alexandra Hospital in Redditch is writing to 38 families after a massive legal action that exposed years of bad practice, ranging from nurses taunting patients to leaving an elderly woman unwashed for 11 weeks.
In one of the worst cases, a man had starvation recorded as the cause of his death after being treated at the hospital for two months.
Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, said last night that he was “disgusted and appalled” by what the families had been through, and that the Government was acting to ensure that failings in care were detected more quickly.

Think this isn’t coming? BTW, I guess the families never visited to see what kind of a condition these people were left in.

This is called cost-control and is absolutely required if you want your free healthcare.
Restaurants use cost control and matrixes for your ‘all-you-can-eat’ specials.
So do governments offering you ‘free’ health ‘care’.

This is what happens when you make a hospital the medical equivalent of the Dept. of motor vehicles.
This is what happens when your medicals choices are presented in a take it or leave it fashion.

As someone who actually has practical experience with socialized medicine I would be hasty to jump to any conclusion other than this was an example of a horribly run hospital. I went to college in Canada and still remember being shocked not having to pay any money after visiting the emergency room. The upfront premium for foreign students was very reasonable and much cheaper than the US. If I had a medical issue that wasn’t an emergency I simply went to the health clinic. Sometimes I would only wait 30 minutes before seeing the doctor.
Now I live in Florida. When I had some earwax impacted against my eardrum from wearing an earplug I went to a clinic. To get it irrigated would cost me 300 dollars since I just started working and wasn’t eligible for health insurance. I naturally balked at the cost and took care of the problem myself with some over the counter medication. In Canada it wouldn’t cost me a dime. My Canadian friends can’t understand all of the fear mongering related to socialized medicine. There’re are drawbacks of coarse, and the system is far from perfect. But Canadians spend less per capita than we do and have better health.

British Ghoul Care.
The Brits treat their ghouls really well. They give them millions of people to play with to satisfy their sadistic and sick impulses and they support their ghouls completely. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one nurse, doctor, regulator, or government ghoul in Britain ever being arrested for their despicable and disgusting acts.
But, they put on a great half time show. I missed the patients starving to death in their beds as food was placed two arms’ lengths away from them (as a sick tease) during the Olympic show. That part must have been when I got up to get popcorn.

So why go to the ER for a problem you could treat yourself? Do you see the problem here?
Then who did it cost?
