Obama devotes eulogy for war hero to talking about himself, of course
Someone needs to tell Barack Obama—it must get particularly confusing this time of year—that his own birth is not Year One, the date around which all other events are understood. His much-noted, self-referential tic was on cringe-worthy display Friday when the president gave his eulogy for the late Sen. Daniel Inouye, who served in Congress for half a century representing Obama’s birth state of Hawaii.
Inouye was a Japanese-American war hero (he lost an arm in World War II, destroying his dream of becoming a surgeon), and as a senator he served on the Watergate committee, helped rewrite our intelligence charter after scandals, and was chairman of the Senate committee that investigated the Iran-Contra affair. It’s the kind of material any eulogist could use to give a moving sense of the man and his accomplishment. But President Barack Obama’s remarks at Inouye’s funeral service were a bizarre twirl around his own personal Kodak carousel.

Narcissist.
Thanks for dying, Danny, and giving me this opportunity to talk about myself.

There is no depth to the man or to which the he will not sink.
On the flip side, Obama himself is a war hero; I’m pretty sure he’s the one who took out Bin Laden. — /Obama voter

My wife can’t even stand to listen to the first two minutes of it.
How honored Senator Inouye – make that Danny – would have been to know that Obama shared invaluable personal tidbits about his childhood vacation and other aspects of his own fascinating life rather than waste time eulogizing the deceased, who after all was nothing more than a Japanese-American war hero turned politician. /s
And Obama was re-elected. What future presidents can we expect in this new age of celebrity and narcissism – the actual Kim Kardashian, as Rush might suggest?

bho is a repulsive self-centered little man. The sun rises and sets on bho, his way of thinking?
I feel so sorry for any family members who has bho say anything at funerals, etc. it is always about bho!
RIP, Mr. Inouye.

It’s not so bad he’s a narcissist. Teddy Roosevelt was a narcissist. On the other hand, Teddy Roosevelt had something to back up his narcissism….

Four more years of this. I think he’s eyeing Mount Rushmore for space…..in the highest spot.

For one, he actually did something to win his Nobel Peace Prize.

there is narcissism and then there’s malignant narcissism and NPD with a side order of sociopathy.
barry is a sociopath- all sociopaths are narcissists.
his re-election was just the type of enabling that allows this sort of personality the encouragement to up their already substantial ‘Me’ game.
it is only going to get worse. it is hard to imagine obama as any more insufferable so…fasten your seat belts…

Obama isn’t fit to shine a war hero’s boots.
When? Where?

Somehow, if Teddy were president today, I don’t think he’d employ a bunch of Wormtongues in the WH to go through other Presidential histories on the WH website editing them just to add a reference to him and if they did it on their own, he’d probably walk up softly and beat them with a big stick, ’cause, as you note, Teddy was an actual Captain Kickass.

Obama is annoyed at having attention paid to a guy who REALLY WAS born in Hawaii who did actually accomplish something in his life.

Because we have descended to that level.
Dragged down by Hollywood & academia.

Did he speak using the TOTUS?
[Probably not, which is why he immediately descended into his natural state of self-loathing -- often the unconscious, repressed driver that lies behind and drives a sociopathic narcissist.]
Of course, what the LSM wants to know is: did anybody faint?

Check out the comments over there. Regulars are in a real snit, and not over Obama’s neurotic self-obsession.
