Republicans consider adding spending cuts to “Plan B”
Apparently scrambling for votes on their alternative to a fiscal cliff deal – known as Plan B – House Republicans late Wednesday were considering expanding the scope of their tax cut extension measure to include spending cuts.
The measure, according to GOP sources, would be modified in an effort to win support from Republicans who were concerned the extension without spending cuts was a net tax increase. Plan B was initially advanced by House Speaker John Boehner as a method to ensure the GOP is not connected with a middle class tax increase if a fiscal cliff deal is not reached.
One of the sources said the concept is helping with some members, but not others.

Do it.
I know the EPA would be a great place to start.

So I take it Boehner’s attempt to strong arm the caucus into swallowing this crap sandwich was not successful? Cry me a river, Orangeman.

Hope it includes total cuts to Dept. of Ed, Dept. of Energy, EPA, PBS/NPR, and all funding for the Endowment for the Arts.

Sure, let’s ask for ponies while we’re at it. And world peace. Kittens and rainbows too.
Folks, the idea of Plan B is that it won’t pass the Senate and won’t be agreed to by 0bama. Thus making the inevitable cliff NOT the fault of Republicans not negotiating in good faith.

The EPA and the green communists that infest it is a clear and present danger to the Republic.

This just illustrates the utter stupidity of the Republicans. They should have been hammering on spending cuts from day one.

I thought that was the Republicans whole point. Now it turns out it wasn’t..not even in “Plan B” but hoping for an add on to Plan B??
If Maobama didn’t budge and was able to get more than he originally wanted, what makes them think that he’ll move now? He already stated that the repubs have conceded their position to his. Another “I won”..eat it”.

I do wish Mr. Boehner would have called his fallback option something other than the name of the “Morning After Pill”, Plan B. As Joe Scarborough chuckled without explanation, “Rick Santorum would definitely vote against Plan B.”
har-har.
