really? the man who committed cold blooded mass murder was not given the death sentence? So the tax payers are on the hook for a life time of costs because this conservative judge didn't sentence him to death row.

And there’s the rub. Once the “assault weapon” meme has been established all firearms will become assault weapons.

The thing is, when you take away people’s rights things don’t seem to get much safer.

If you look at the Senate/House votes even Henry Reid does not have enough votes to bring a vote to cloture (60 needed).

The Senate is under Republican “leadership” (I use that term very generically BTW) so you don’t have the votes their to even force a vote.

The NRA is signing up 8,000 members a day and pretty much every gun store in America has been bought out over the last week.

The only way something will get passed is by hock or crook (which is a possibility I will admit).

Here is he thing it did not have to be that way…If your side just took a bit of time to listen to gun-owners and learned a few things it may have gone differently.
