Many years ago I was dating a woman and just happened to notice a lump in the side of her breast while relaxing in bed.

I said, “What’s this” and she replied, “Oh, nothing”.

She had had a physical exam, including breast exam, by her physician just a few weeks before. She then felt it too, went back to her physician, who ordered an aspiration (a few nervous days later!!!), and it turned out to be a hematoma from taking a fast tennis serve in the boob.

The physician hadn’t noticed it, but yours truly did!!!!

Direct exam is best left to experts.
