Grover Norquist’s group: No objection to Boehner’s Plan B
ATR has consistently maintained that individual Members of Congress make a pledge to their constituents to oppose and vote against tax increases. The House this week will vote on a tax bill. This legislation—popularly known as “Plan B”–permanently prevents a tax increase on families making less than $1 million per year. Republicans supporting this bill are this week affirming to their constituents in writing that this bill—the sole purpose of which is to prevent tax increases—is consistent with the pledge they made to them. In ATR’s analysis, it is extremely difficult—if not impossible—to fault these Republicans’ assertion.
In particular, in this Congress the House has already voted twice to prevent any tax increases on any American. When viewed with this in mind, and considering this tax bill contains no tax increases of any kind—in fact, it permanently prevents them—matters become more clear. Having finally seen actual legislation in writing, ATR is now able to make its determination about a legislative proposal related to the fiscal cliff. ATR will not consider a vote for this measure a violation of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge.

I get what they are saying but, still, aren’t people making over a million dollars considered “taxpayers”?

He would’ve looked totally ineffectual after it passed. That’s why he had to say this.

The House should label it the Pelosi Plan and pass it…let the Dems explain why they rejected higher taxes on millionaires (to snare even more taxpayers, of course).

This Plan B is briliant. It puts Democrats on the defense once again.
Don’t get me wrong, I am still a proud memeber of Team Let It Burn and hope we go over the cliff. I just want to see Democrats chaf a little before the end.

Looks like Heritage Action is standing alone, even with a heap of sweeteners, such as a permanent indexing of the AMT and low-end “parity” between capital gains and dividends, thrown in Boehner’s Plan B pill.

Interesting that you should characterize a week where children get shot to death and the president insists on ignoring our dire financial problems as a good week for the Democrats.

The Weeper’s idiotic Plan cryBaby just helps the left take their class warfare to the tax code. The House needs to just extend all of the Bush tax rates and let the Senate and Barky decide to kill it and bring on the Sequester. End of story.
Of course, we would have to get rid of the cowardly dipsh!t Boner in order to get anything reasonable done in the House. Throwing this POS out is job 1 for the House and they should do it right now, before the end of this Congress. Boner is death, itself, as he is nothing but an ally of the Indonesian America-hater and his lunatic dems.

You’re being awful hard on little sessie, aren’t you? Poor thing is just trying to be edgy.

I still think going over the cliff is a terrible idea. There’s nothing worse than letting Democrats hike taxes on the middle class (which they want & need) while pretending they want no part of it. I’d rather lock in tax rates under $250k, and mock Obama’s stupidity when he keeps hitting the debt ceiling.
If ‘rats don’t raise taxes on the middle class, they have no recourse but to print more money, which acts like a regressive tax on the poor. And, since the poor elected this bozo, F ‘em.

Sessie’s about as sharp as a ripe tomato.

interesting how i didn’t characterize this week as good for the democrats, but you did read it into my comment.
may i also point out that the shooting was last week?
all in all, a fairly poor attempt at a cutting repsone.
