Professor: I want the NRA VP’s head on a stick
“[I] want Wayne LaPierre’s head on a stick,” Erik Loomis, a professor at the University of Rhode Island (URI), tweeted.
It “looks like the National Rifle Association has murdered some more children,” he added.”
Can [we] define NRA membership as dues contributing to a terrorist organization?” he asked in a separate tweet.

That commie will no doubt get a raise and a promotion for his selfless act of tolerance and compassion.

Words don’t twist students’ minds; professors twist students’ minds.
Paul-Cincy on December 18, 2012 at 4:48 PM
Why has the NRA been so silent. You’d think if they felt they were on the right side of this issue they’d be all over the airwaves and blogosphere, trumpeting their armed and ready fantasies. But not a peep out them since before Newtown. I wonder why?

You forgot the wanting them beaten to death tweet.
I would like to think that URI would do something about one of their staff inciting and or advocating violence but I know this is just a resume enhancer for the jerk.

So why is it when some fat bloviating liberal says this no one cares, but when I say this to my neighbor for failing to keep his feral children in check, I have to have a nice talk with the local constabulary?
LincolntheHun on December 18, 2012 at 4:50 PM
substitute planned parenthood when reading such things
tomg51 on December 18, 2012 at 4:51 PM
LaPierre should call the cops then sue this communist clown.
It’s reaching the point when liberals will start saying it’s acceptable to physically attack conservatives, then attack their businesses … it’ll eventually reach the point where they’ll start calling for the outright murder of all conservatives.
Hitler must be coaching liberals from the grave.

People like this professor and that mentally unstable Dem leader in Houston are the reasons they are keeping mum. The members are probably fearful for their lives in anticipation of the Big-Bird-binders-birth-control low-information sheeple who want to set up lynch mobs.

Now the nra is going to get their views out?

Aww, Erik Loomis deleted his twitter account.
BigGator5 on December 18, 2012 at 4:57 PM
Twitchy has not one, but two, more comprehensive posts on this. And, according to one tweet, he’s already been visited by the police and deleted his account, but not before looking even more crazy than that.
Dusty on December 18, 2012 at 4:58 PM
Loomis later tweeted.
Yeah, for political speech. #illiberalism #fascism

I hope they go file a lawsuit against that Dem pol in Texas.

I feel this way about Communists.
Only they are responsible for murder & mayhem bcs they are ardently undermining all of our rights & freedom.
And that is criminal & evil.

So let me get this straight … these are the same people who see nothing wrong with hundreds of dead Mexicans because of Obama and Holder, yet want to kill a man or send him to prison for the rest of his life because someone stole legally purchased and registered guns to commit murder?
darwin on December 18, 2012 at 5:05 PM
Progressives are dangerous people. If they consolidate power, there will be political “reprisals”. Progressives have been prone to mass murder going all the way back to the Jacobins and later the nationalist and internationalist progressives of the 20th century.

“Try it Loomis. Just make sure your will and testament are filed with your county recorder, first.”

No doubt. It’s a horrible experience for their useful idiots when they finally realize who they’ve been supporting.
darwin on December 18, 2012 at 5:10 PM
We are getting a much sharper focus on who the enemies of America are…so far, Prog media and Communist Academia…but we already knew that.
d1carter on December 18, 2012 at 5:11 PM
People who are incapable of seeing things through the eyes of others who disagree with them, yes, they are dangerous people. I don’t know why they can’t do this. A simple, “oh, I see your point, but I disagree with you, and these are the reasons …”. They can’t do that. They just figure you’re the Devil incarnate and must be destroyed.

We need common sense stick control laws!
James on December 18, 2012 at 5:18 PM
What’s really needed is to push for repeal of these gun-free zones in schools, at least insofar as school employees are concerned.
I’m not saying they should all be armed, but we need to eliminate he common knowledge that schools are gun-free and easy targets, and, if so choosing, schools should be allowed to have a firearm available to prevent or mitigate events such as Sandy Hill, which is just the most recent case. That this can happen is not dealing in hypotheticals and this reasonable safety protocol is not rocket science.
Giving a shooter 20 minutes to do whatever he wants is not “ensuring” the security and safety of the children districts are charged to provide by having them in their custody. Districts that use such language as “ensuring” without planning for such events, and not being explicit about what level of safety they are willing or capable of providing are perpetrating a fraud and should be held accountable. If their hands are tied by the state government, then the state should be held accountable, and not solely at the ballot box.

Why has Obama been so silent on Benghazi, Egypt, Syria, Iran…on and on and on?
Schadenfreude on December 18, 2012 at 5:19 PM
Okay, I just now got that. LOL.
Dusty on December 18, 2012 at 5:20 PM
You too, huh? Just like the time I caught hell from the public school principal for suggesting this sort of action regarding the little sh-t who was bullying my daughter.
CurtZHP on December 18, 2012 at 5:24 PM
I want most professors’ heads on a platter. The fools will soon realize how that is.
Schadenfreude on December 18, 2012 at 5:28 PM
Totally agree.
In this vein, yesterday a local concealed handgun instructor was interviewed on the radio. During Christmas break he’s offering free classes to anyone who works in a school–bus drivers, teachers, custodians, etc.
I didn’t know this, but he said that teachers in Texas are allowed to carry on campus if they can get written permission from the district, and in fact two area teachers are doing so. Also, one rural school district in TX is about to allow teachers to carry. Perhaps someday TX will catch up to Utah in our school gun laws.

So wait I am confused – liberals abstain from violence by advocating violence? I mean aren’t liberals supposed to believe that all answers to all problems are resolved through big group hugs and fireside chats? /s
rsherwd65 on December 18, 2012 at 5:53 PM
Yes it is. You have no idea how firearms are sold online.

So checked good ol’ FB. A friends posted a rant about the NRA being a terrorist organization but stopped short of issuing threats, then the comments:
Progressive traditions both.
Some sanity:

He describes himself as an environmental and labor historian, which means he teaches historical revisionism and Anti-American indoctrination studies on the taxpayer dime. It also means he’s a useless parasite.
RadClown on December 18, 2012 at 5:55 PM
Yeah, “heads roll” is commonly used and everyone knows it’s not meant literally. In the case of liberals, you people mean it. You want people killed in some sick retribution for something that some nut did.
