It “looks like the National Rifle Association has murdered some more children,” he added.”

Seems like you guys like being outraged over metaphorical language only when it suits you.
It gets a bit different when you target a single person, though, and claim that he ‘murdered some children today.’

This is stupid! Gun owners and the NRA have done nothing wrong! Not a blasted thing! They have nothing to be ashamed about! They have every reason in the whole freaking world to stand confidently and respond with the truth!

The NRA’s silence is out of respect for the bereaved. Simple human decency requires that respect, at least until the dead are buried.
The gun control ghouls have no such respect. They are fighting each other to stand atop the bodies and use them for a soapbox.

Heads will roll is not specifically calling anyone to task. It’s toward a group of folks who stay relatively anonymous.
Demanding LaPierre’s head specifically on a stick is a call for violence.
