Former Romney advisor: Let’s break ranks on guns
“I’m a conservative and a Republican, and I believe in the Constitution and all of the amendments. But the reality is, there are restrictions on lots of our freedoms,” DeMoss said. “We cherish the freedom of speech, but it doesn’t give you the right to yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater.”
DeMoss continued: “I have trouble defending a position that says there should be no restrictions on any guns or ammunition, and this slippery slope argument that if you allow the slightest bit of [gun] control, then that’s the start of taking away all our freedoms.
“Somebody’s got to break ranks on one side or the other, it seems to me, and talk in a rational and thoughtful way, which will probably come with great risk to whoever does that,” he said. “I imagine a Republican who speaks on this will probably be opposed in their next election.”

at the end of the day it is the 2nd and only the second that secures all others amendments and rights. God gave us the rights and a means to secure those rights. And it is up to us to make sure those rights are not lost in the political passions of the day. The people in that school lost thier rights to defend themselves under Clinton and feel good liberal policies of “gun free zones” We as a nation let down those children. We can not ban crazy we can not ban evil but we can damn sure ban crazy evil governmental policies like gun free zones. And we can better our country without sacrificing our rights ALL of our rights on the alter of Feel goodness

It must be thrilling for liberals & statists to come out of the closet whenever there is a bloody horror that they can dip their hands in.
Considering that many of these same geniuses re-elected this destructive bastard for president, I’m sure they will have no problem inflicting more “reasonable”, “rational” laws that unreasonable, irrational monsters will carefully consider before inflicting carnage on innocents.
A pox on the houses of all Media who celebrate, profit, and otherwise encourage more of this hell, while plaintively wailing about the inhumanity of it all, and calling for all people to subject themselves to more state control, even when the “cures” are immaterial to the problems.

It’s shocking that “guns kill people” and yet these mass killings never happen at gun shows. They always seem to happen at gun-free zones.
