“We’ll be at your daughter’s soccer game!”
The Rev. Charles Williams II made the comments Tuesday to loud cheers before a group of thousands of union workers. After his promises to harass Gov. Snyder, he introduced Rep. Richard Hammel, D-Mt. Morris Township, and House Minority Leader Tim Greimel, D-Auburn Hills. Williams is a Detroit-area pastor and left-wing activist.
Gov. Snyder later that day signed a bill into law making Michigan a right-to-work state. One of his daughters is a 16-year-old high school student.
“Just know one thing, Rick Snyder: You sign that bill, you won’t get no rest,” Williams said. “We’ll meet you on Geddes Road. We’ll be at your daughter’s soccer game. We’ll visit you at your church. We’ll be at your office.

OH MY GOSH! Gov. Snyder needs major security for him and his family! This IS NOT funny, it is horrible, it is very threatening!

“They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue”.
That’s the Union way, and that’s how you get Hoffa.

Thuggery for me, but not for thee. The liberal, leftist, Democrat, union mindset.

Unions picked a bad day to threaten the safety of a school-aged child. We need laws to ban unions in Michigan. They are a threat to the safety of children.

So the Right talks about “taking the country back” and the Left talks about stalking and attacking Republicans and their families. Is this a new level of hypocrisy?

Thugs. As are anyone who makes common cause with these cretins.

Bad bad timing for a statement like that. You start mentioning kids and all bets are off, you give my kids a hard time and my retort will be uncomfortable for you.
Bishop on December 14, 2012 at 3:08 PM
Steven Crowder doesn’t have the right to stand with RTW work activists in a public place at a rally, but union thugs have every right to stalk Governor Snyder and his family.

Do not worry, Romney let the same kinds of thugs enter the Republican party. You can rest assured that we will be getting this kind of treatment from our supposed own side.
Thank god Hot Air and the rest of the conservative media knocked down every other candidate in order to allow their chosen one to advance unhindered.
The republican party, party of everything to everyone and party of nothing valuable to anyone.

The country is headed for some ugly times…a thug of the cloth threatens a child and people cheer. I hope people are prepared for it.
d1carter on December 14, 2012 at 3:09 PM
Well, this gives me a strong idea that it is a leftist thug that killed those kids in Connecticut. What other conclusion is there if threatening children is considered acceptable political discourse?

As noted on Instapundit: The daughter plays softball and volleyball, not soccer.
Dumbass union thug can’t even get that right.
But yeah, we’re in for some dark times ahead.

HA ate my comment about this the other day so I’ll tone it down.
It REALLY didn’t end too well for Hoffa Sr.

Maybe the Governor should send some state troopers in uniform to the Rev’s Sunday services – just to make sure that everything stays nice and peaceful?
katiejane on December 14, 2012 at 3:21 PM
Would be humorous if a bunch of them showed up at a soccer game expecting to harass Snyder only to find out he’s not there (nor his daughter).
Bitter Clinger on December 14, 2012 at 3:25 PM
Bad optics on that. However, letting it slip that your family now has to be guarded round the clock (at a significant cost to the taxpayers) and that your 16-year old daughter will probably have to start wearing body armor in response to union threats may not be a bad way to go.

Reverend … hmmmm.
Unions are the original domestic terrorists, trying to bring pain and suffering to uninvolved third parties in order to bolster their pathetic (and un-Constitutional and insane) positions. These idiots should go to Cuba, where they’d feel more at home. Or the rest of us need a national divorce from these diseased thugs. I share nothing with these people and want nothing to do with them.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on December 14, 2012 at 3:53 PM
Heaven forbid the GOP do something that might have “bad optics.” So much better to play the victim card and believe anyone is going to give a rat’s patootie. /s

LEt these union thugs talk. Let them tear down tents and take swipes at people. Let the videos, tapes, roll. Sooner or later the message will get out. Not the one the unions want to get out, but the real one. These thugs and their greedy, power-hungry leaders, are nothing more than vicious criminals. The decent people of this country will detest them, their words and their actions. President Obama can’t ignore them or excuse them forever.
Go ahead. Threaten to “stalk” the governor. Aren’t there laws against stalking? The governor should go ahead with his business. Keep body guards at hand, have his family beware, and let the good citizens of Michigan take note of who the real enemies of freedom are. Union goons, what trash.

So, sending armed and uniformed State Troopers into a church service is the smart play?
There’s absolutely no way that can go wrong.
Left Coast Right Mind on December 14, 2012 at 4:51 PM
If the leader of said ‘church’ has physically threatened an elected politician and his children, said church has done absolutely nothing about it, they have no more right so sanctity than a mosque sheltering terrorists.
Preaching towards politics is one thing, as is pointing out that some politician or another is an amoral lying jacka$$. But direct threats? No sympathy.
