Poll: Belief in global warming rising among people with little or no trust in scientists
The biggest change in the polling is among people who trust scientists only a little or not at all. About 1 in 3 of the people surveyed fell into that category.
Within that highly skeptical group, 61 percent now say temperatures have been rising over the past 100 years. That’s a substantial increase from 2009, when the AP-GfK poll found that only 47 percent of those with little or no trust in scientists believed the world was getting warmer.
This is an important development because, often in the past, opinion about climate change doesn’t move much in core groups — like those who deny it exists and those who firmly believe it’s an alarming problem, said Jon Krosnick, a Stanford University social psychologist and pollster. Krosnick, who consulted with The Associated Press on the poll questions, said the changes the poll shows aren’t in the hard-core “anti-warming” deniers, but in the next group, who had serious doubts.

Parts of this poll are disingenuous. I know the temperatures have risen over the last 100 years. So what? It was warmer in the Middle Ages and during the Roman Optimum.

Believing the Earth is getting warmer and thinking man is responsible are two different things. This AP writer Seth Borenstein has been on the AGW bandwagon for a long time. He is not an objective journalist. Just look at how he throws around the word “denier.” His articles should be viewed as opinion pieces, not news.

Energy is the life blood of advanced civilizations. CO2 is the by-product therefore is it any surprise that the ideology that wants to do away with advancement of free societies would seek to tie CO2 with the natural oscillations of earth’s climate?

Yeah. We’ve probably been warming since the Little Ice Age. So what? Does that mean that man has caused it or that man can do anything about it? Or that “scientists” and “scientific studies” are generally believable? Particularly when they are related to politically “hot” topics? I have a PhD in a hard science from a top school and *I* don’t believe these clowns.

Because they’re not listening to the scientists… They’re listening to the daily lies by the media day in and day out that the Earth is turning into a furnace (its not) and just jumping on the bandwagon…
Same with every other political boondoggle like abortion, gay marriage, green energy and fracking.
Just because you have a majority vote doesn’t mean it’s really happening or that it’s good for society. Because society WILL vote itself all of YOUR money to fix THEIR fabled ills.

It gets cold, it gets warm.
Say 100,000 years out,, those here on earth ,if any, will have some data sets, not much but some time span that means someting.
The current years of temp. data,, not so much.

The Ewoks killed their scientists and then moved into the forest.
And then turned into small tyranical communities forced to live in the trees, dictated to by the warrior with the best weapons. But, they were happy. Just wondering….did you ever wonder why the Ewoks lived up in the trees? I can only assume that 1) it rained a lot on Endor, or 2) they were food for another species that couldn’t get up a tree.

What does any of that have to do with science? How many of those who say temps have been rising over the last hundred years also say temps have been rising over the last 200 years? Glacier Bay, Alaska turned from glacier to bay from 1800 to 1900.
