What kind of negotiator is Obama?
President Obama has not negotiated a single win-win middle ground legislative compromise with the other political party. I fear he may not know how to do so or be unwilling to do so because he sees all his dealings with Congressional Republicans as pure zero-sum.
The scary part about model 3 is that the President might unwittingly kill an agreement, further inflame a nasty partisan blame game, and trigger a recession even though in this model that’s not the outcome he wants. In model 3 a different negotiator (say, Mr. Bowles) could find a middle ground that could pass both the House and Senate, but President Obama cannot or will not. Some combination of legislative inexperience, a distaste for interacting with Congress, and a naturally combative rather than cooperative temperament may hobble the President’s ability to close deals with those who have different policy priorities. And if model 3 is correct, in the next few weeks it could all go sideways because we have a President who doesn’t know how to or isn’t willing to negotiate.
It may be impossible for us to know which of these models applies to President Obama. I know this is an important question, and that a clear answer would not only allow us to analyze the current negotiation, but would increase the ability of other elected policymakers to deal effectively with the President over the next four years.

Barky doesn’t know how to do anything. He’s a stone-cold idiot without any talents or abilities. In addition, all he wants to do is destroy this nation (the one task within the realm of possibilities for a talentless retard, so long as he has enough power) and would never even think about compromising with anyone. Barky just pushes as much cr@p through as he can, hoping to either kill the nation with it or kill the institutions by forcing it through. This has been the way he’s handled everything. He knows nothing else.

I don’t know how he can even be labeled a “negotiator” at all, let alone a specific type of negotiator.

Obama survives by passing blame, which is his only skill but one in which he excels. He is aided and abetted by the media in this effort.
I can see the logic in letting him get what he wants by voting present and enabling him utterly destroy this place beyond all recognition, but I have no confidence in the citizenry to self-correct anymore. So, what the hell are we to do anymore? To that end, I think Obama knows exactly what he’s doing in these negotiations. He can’t lose.

Am I the only who at a quick glance saw that 0bama “sees … Republicans as pure zero-scum” ?

He was a community organizer… negotiation and compromise is not something he would have been familiar with.

I think the first thing the GOP leadership has to get through their skulls, in whether it’s campaigning or negotiating is that the rules of engagement have changed as irrevocably as the rules of engagement changed in dealing with terrorists on 911.
Throw out everything bit of “conventional wisdom ” you know and start dealing with the 0ministration and Dems like they are… radials who are hell bent in transforming the country into a shadow of its former self with their boot forever stamping on the American face. We are in a cold civil war. Start ACTING LIKE IT.
