Syria’s chemical weapons are ready for use
Syria’s chemical weapons could be used at “a moment’s notice” and the international community should not accept any assurances from Syrian officials that they will not be used, US House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers said on Wednesday.
US and other Western officials recently issued sharp warnings to Syrian President Bashar Assad not to deploy chemical weapons. Syria called those warnings a “pretext for intervention” in the civil war.
Rogers, a Republican, told Reuters in an interview that the Syrian government’s activities related to chemical weapons were a shift in posture and a major concern.
“I believe that they have put elements of their chemical weapons program in a condition of which they could be used at a moment’s notice, which is very different from before,” Rogers said.

Like we’ll do anything.
Good luck, Syrians.
It’s better if we just watch you be slaughtered on tv. Less intervention-y that way.

look these people want to kill each other. Most of the world’s problems are centered in the middle east they escaped the horrors of a world war ,mostly, and unlike Europe, the USA, and East Asia they have not seen what total war brings. I think its like a child and a hot stove. Until people really learn the horrors of war, war will always remain an option. I don’t think we can protect them from themselves and i’m beginning to question if we should even try.

Looks like it is up to Susan Rice and the U.N. to get a handle on this. The president has every confidence in her. When she succeeds in getting all those chemical WMDs neatly confiscated, she’ll be ready for her next career promotion.:)

And he shouldn’t use them because. . . ? Why, exactly? Assad supports terrorism against Israel. But the other side in this civil war is no better. Keep killing each other.

Who gives a sh#t about Syrians – government or rebel or civilian dirtballs? You have a lot of empathy for people who would gladly see your head on a platter, which means ALL OF THEM.
“It’s a shame they can’t both lose”, as Kissinger said.
The arab world is nothing but a retarded, destructive force in the world. They like living in the Stone Age so they should all be returned to it.
