Schwarzenegger: I love paying my taxes

Schwarzenegger also said, “Be a public servant. Not a party servant,” a statement that isn’t surprising given the fact that his own views weren’t always in line with Republican doctrine.

Speaking about taxes, Schwarzenegger’s got no problem paying them, he says. “I always tell my accountant, If you’re in doubt about taxes, pay more. No Cayman Island offshore investments. No gimmicks. I love paying my taxes!”

That was now. This was then, running for soon-to-be-failed-Governor of California:

“The people of California are already taxed too much.

“From the time they get up in the morning and flush the toilet, they’re taxed,” Schwarzenegger said. “When they go and get a coffee, they’re taxed.

“They get into their car, they’re taxed. They go to the gas station, they’re taxed. They go for lunch, they’re taxed. This goes on all day long. Tax, tax, tax, tax, tax. Even when they go to bed, you can go to bed in fear that you are going to be taxed while you’re sleeping, that there is a sleeping tax.”

At least he admits it. Many faux conservatives say they are against high taxes then they turn around and raise them just watch the Speaker and recall George H W Bush.
