Matt Lewis
“I guess you could say it was an a**hole factor”
“What I tried to explain to them was, it didn’t have anything to do with your voting record, a scorecard, your work across the street or anything else. It had to do with your ability to work within the system and to try to work. And to be, I guess, constructive in things. And I said, ‘I guess you could say it was an asshole factor,’” Westmoreland said. “Now I wasn’t calling any member in particular an asshole, I was just trying to describe an environment where some people that you’re trying to work with, they just don’t want to work within the system.”

And none of the RINO squishes had any A-hole factor? Mmm-hmm. Okay.

Maybe they had no interest in the go-along-to-get-along approach? I mean sure thats gotten us $20 trillion in debt, but it also has a downside as well. /

The above quote encapsulates all that is wrong with the Republican party. When did believing and actually trying to promote conservative values become acting like an asshole?

I wasn’t calling anyone an a$$hole. I said they acted a$$holey.

Is this the system that’s been working out so great for Republicans and the country? Who were they making it difficult for I wonder, Republicans or Democrats?

Work within the system… when the SYSTEM is the PROBLEM!

Why is it that conservatives are always so “staunch”?
You never hear “staunch liberal.”

I’ve given up. Maybe someday someone will come along to change my mind. For now I don’t see any hope whatsoever.

Like Rep Amash said on Hannity….we were sent by our constituents and our first duty is to them, not the party.
Baehner represents the cologne and cufflinks, cocktail crowd, not the people.

Maybe that’s because the system is corrupt and beyond redemption, assh0le.

If it makes one an a$$hole to refuse to cooperate with America hating leftists like 0bama, Reid and Pelosi, then I’ll support the a$$hole every time.
In fact, it would be great if these “a$$holes” split off from the RINO party and created their own party. Call it the A$$hole Party if you will. Their symbol can be the chocolate starfish for all I care. I would vote straight A$$hole party ticket every time.

We are all starting to understand the subtleties of that ancient curse…”May you live in interesting times“

Let me see if I understand this – the House leadership told some members that they lost out on promotions & positions BECAUSE they are a$$holes who don’t work well with others?
And the House leadership thinks that these same people are now going to be inclined to get in line? Man I’d be inclined to make sure I went along with what my voting district wanted regardless of what the GOP leadership wanted. If they thought they couldn’t count on me before I’d make sure they knew they couldn’t now.

If conservative GOP lawmakers are “A$$holes” for not wanting to concede and bow to Obama’s will, What do we call GOP lawmakers who are on their knees unzipping Obama for the past 4 years?
portlandon on December 13, 2012 at 11:22 AM
BIGGER A$$HOLES.
NJ Red on December 13, 2012 at 11:34 AM
Or “arch”. Never heard of an “arch liberal.” Heard about plenty of “arch conservatives.”
Mitoch55 on December 13, 2012 at 11:54 AM
Well, there is a difference between the 2, a significant one at that – do you enjoy dealing with people you usually like and agree with while they are being p!ssy and difficult?
Anti-Control on December 13, 2012 at 12:01 PM
This is good. Tbe racist mysoginist GOP base needs to bow down to the RINOcracy.

It isn’t the job of Congressmen to “get along” with the dipsh#ts in the leadership. Congressmen are bound to serve their constiutents.
Westmoreland is an azz. He needs to be stripped of all committee assignments in the new Congress along with the Weeping Boner being relegated to the sidelines until he finally decides to do the right thing and leave the House.
This House GOP leadership is the absolute worst. Awful.
