Team Romney’s TV strategies criticized in election postmortems
A nonpartisan research firm presented data showing that President Obama had far outperformed Mitt Romney in managing the largest single expenditure of the campaign: television advertising.
Romney’s spending decisions on advertising look like “campaign malpractice,” said one person who had reviewed the newly circulated data.
Obama and his allies spent less on advertising than Romney and his allies but got far more — in the number of ads broadcast, in visibility in key markets and in targeting critical demographic groups, such as the working class and younger voters in swing states. As the presidential race entered its final, furious phase, for example, millions of college football fans tuning in to televised games saw repeated ads for Obama but relatively few from the Romney campaign.
All told, from June through Election Day, the Obama campaign and its allies aired about 50,000 more ads than Romney and his allies, according to the research firm’s data.

Dead horse, consider yourself kicked.

So Obama is perfectly capable of sound management and financial decisions when it directly benefits him, but mysteriously cannot do that nationally?
sharrukin on December 12, 2012 at 10:40 AM
I’m sure. A lot of Obama’s ads were probably free considering who sells political ads.

I’m really sick of this.

WaPo: Team Romney’s TV strategies criticized in election postmortems
Absolutely anything to avoid addressing the most pressing problems in America: Obama’s unsustainable spending and the lost generation his policies is creating!!!
The anal exams of Mitt Romney and his campaign and the GOPe’s meltdown are the WaPo’s 21st century offering, on behalf of the Obama administration, of “bread and circuses.”
Mitt Romney’s candidacy and campaign are dead horses. Stop beating them already. Let’s move on to dealing with the dire spending.

We can examine Obama’s horrible record all we want, but the bottom line is he got reelected by a fairly comfortable margin in spite of it. And we can’t just blame the 51% of the electorate that voted for him. Mitt Romney and his campaign obviously made some errors along the way, and we need to make sure that never happens again.

Let it go.
Paul-Cincy on December 12, 2012 at 11:05 AM
Easy. Don’t let the GOPe run the party, pick your nominee, and dictate the terms as to what it means to be a “good Republican.”
Don’t ever forget that the Repubics assisting in the anal exams believe that the GOPe won the 2010 election and blame Obama’s reelection on the Tea Party, conservatives, and libertarians, who lent a helping hand.

Hard. Prying them out of their entrenched positions, from local committeemen all the way up to DC insiders.
Fallon on December 12, 2012 at 11:17 AM
I know, but the scales need to fall from the eyes of the last few that still don’t get it. The GOPe doesn’t represent or even much like those that they purport to represent. In addition to being entrenched, it is also delusional and as wedded to big government, in many ways, as the Democrats are.
On the delusional front:
John Boehner & Co believe that they won in 2010. They didn’t. The Tea Party, libertarians and independents did…in slapping a restraining order on Obama and his party.
After the Nov election, Boehner goes on a conservative purge and is doing his best to lead his party into a return to 40 years in the wilderness.
Boehner would never have become Speaker without the support of the people he, evidently, holds in contempt…along with their principles.
Maybe, he’ll go on the telly and give us another good, old-fashioned cry. Humiliation, it’s what for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
[Oh, and Rove, Morris, Brooks, Gerson, Frum, et al, need to GTFO]

ELECTABLE!!

Face it, people. Mitt Romney is the ONLY one with the organization, fund-raising skills, electability and polling positives to win in 2016.

Hard also in that you have so many of the sheeple repeating GOPe-approved memes.
