Poll: 54% disapprove of Boehner’s handling of fiscal cliff negotiations
While Obama is buoyed on the question by a high, 79 percent approval rating from Democrats, Boehner is saddled with a basically even verdict from GOP voters (39 percent approve, 37 percent disapprove) thanks to divisions within the congressional delegation he leads.
Boehner has struggled to maintain party discipline among the most conservative congressional Republicans, many who rode the tea party wave into office in 2010. But in the poll, Boehner is weakest in the ideological middle. Nearly half of “very conservative” Republicans and independents (49 percent) approve of how Boehner is handling the negotiations, but that number drops to 35 percent among those who are “somewhat conservative” and further still — to 23 percent — among self-described “moderates.”

Another narrative-building poll from the charlatan chattering class.
Go play in traffic.

The general populace can think what they want of Boehner, but the only real significant statistics on him should be of his constituents, House Republicans, and Republicans in general (as he’s our party leader in Congress).

Tomorrow … 54% approve.

Polls or not, Boehner is waaay over his head. He has no idea of the game being played around him. He brings a knife to a gun fight. He lives in a bygone day.

What is wrong with the 46%?

87% of republicans and 57% of independents disapprove of Obama’s handling. That is more than the 67% of Democrats that dissapprove of Boehner. Obama has the worst number on that chart.

NO KIDDING! If we had someone, anyone, as soth to stand up to bho/d’s/bhopress we probably wouldn’t be in this mess? BUT, no, gotta ‘just get along’ and the horror of bhopress saying nasty things about him is just too much to take? But the sad fact, boehner is just like bho, control at the US at taxpayers expense?

I don’t approve of Boehner, but I think that this poll, as with most political opinion polls, merely reflects the efficacy of the press’s malfeasance.

More telling is that Obama is above water on the issue, despite not even being in town and only offering a single ridiculous proposal that not even the members of his own party are willing to vote for. Or, is that what the people want? A completely unserious executive, who has no desire to even attempt to find a solution, not even a bad one.
