Five steps to regaining the momentum in fiscal cliff negotiations
Third, lawmakers should pass a bill mandating that no money can be diverted from Medicare to pay for ObamaCare. Reid will inevitably block a vote in the Senate, and Republicans can use this opportunity to showcase how the Democrats are jeopardizing Medicare benefits for millions of Americans.
Fourth, exposing the Democrats’ hypocrisy is only part of the equation. To show they can do better and protect America’s elderly, the House should also pass a resolution that they will not accept any entitlement reform that reduces benefits for those who are on Medicare and Social Security, or who are about to go into those programs.
Fifth, the House should pass a bill suspending all of those ObamaCare levies that hit next year. If the president and the Democrats were serious about repairing our economy, they wouldn’t be aggressively pushing ahead with the damaging healthcare law and its one trillion dollars in new taxes. Again, call attention to the hypocrisy.

Yes, because calling attention to Dem’s hypocrisy has worked so well the past four years…

Republicans, you have two to three sentences for the democratic media complex evening news–they black everything else–the jobs bills you pass go onto the Senate to never be brought up by Harry Reid. It is like it never happened to the clueless in the public.
Use those two or three sentences wisely and do not say anything else. Talk about the middle class tax increases through Obamacare. Obama is raising taxes on the middle class. Beat it that like a drum.

Im wary of proposals that are based on demonstrating something to the American people by Congressional maneuvering. The people I know usually hold these staged demonstrations against those who organize them, if they pay enough attention to notice these things at all.

Yammering about (the Christian sin of) hypocrisy, even if it were to penetrate the Dem media wall, which it won’t, is nowhere near sufficient to counter, sublimate, or co-opt envy, resentment, and the delight that human beings seem to experience in blaming.

Um okay. So Steve thinks that if the Republicans call attention to the Dems behaving badly it’ll actually get reported?
Like Guns being smuggled into Mexico?
Or the Senate not passing a budget in three years?
Or Ambassadors being killed in Benghazi?
Or Crowder getting punched by union guys?
.
The Dems know the press will not hold them accountable, and if it’s not reported for most people it’s like it never happened.
