WSJ
Finally: Fiscal cliff poetry
We keep hearing the fiscal cliff doth loom.
Do we face impending doom?
Republicans should all take note:
There truly was a recent vote.
The electorate let out a collective roar:
The wealthiest should pay a bit more.
But, Democrats, don’t feel too elated;
Liberal extremism was not mandated. ….

The winter winds blow cold
What will the government do?
It doesn’t matter.

Deficit spending poetry that COINCIDENTALLY predates the recent flurry of financial poetry of all kinds.
Man, you know — I mean the WSJ for — nevermind.
Never. Mind.

Little Barack Horner sat in a corner
Eating his fiscal pie
He stuck in his thumb
And pulled out a dead Republicun
And said if only I knew how to cry
Harry had a little scam,
Little scam, little scam
Harry had a little scam
The fleece was good as gold
Itsy bitsy Geithner went up the money spout
Down came the printing press
And pumped the T Notes out
Up came the One
and dried up all the gain
Itsy bitsy Geithner went down the drain again
By the shores of Gitcha Gimee,
By the shining Big-Sea-Water,
Stood the wigwam of Chrischrissie,
Bigger than the Moon, Chrischrissie.
Dark behind it rose the ego,
Rose the need for good and plenties,
Hugs the first with cones upon them …
Shall I go on
