A Secretary of State John Kerry would elevate climate issues
If Sen. John Kerry becomes the next secretary of State or Defense, he will likely raise climate change to a top-tier priority in either agency.
Kerry, the Massachusetts Democrat who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has long been viewed as a likely candidate to replace Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. While United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice more recently had been viewed as the top contender for the post, fierce Republican resistance to her candidacy now appears to be making Kerry, who would probably face a relatively easy Senate confirmation, the more likely candidate. …
“No senator since Al Gore knows as much about the science and diplomacy of climate change as Kerry,” said David Goldwyn, an international energy consultant who served as Clinton’s special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs. “He would not only put climate change in the top five issues he raises with every country, but he would probably rethink our entire diplomatic approach to the issue.”

What does Gengis Khan think of climate issues?

The fact that that is true is another damning indictment of the idiots we have in the Senate.
That said it would be darkly humorous to see him as Secretary of Defense. Not so funny for the military though.

Ketchup and mustard would suddenly be the answer to all of our problems…

Oh the priorities of Progressives….. What a bunch of idiots.

Does he really care? It seems to me he just latched onto Climate Change a few months back when he was grasping for relevance. The guy’s just a drama queen.

At Defense Kerry’s going to green-light:
- Ships that use algae to go under water
- Depleted tofu munitions
- The solar powered PVS-14
- Day-glo pink and brown multi-cam

Upfront: I absolutely hate myself (sorta) for writing what I am about to write, but not being a Democrat, I guess that I am used to making “lesser of two evils” choices…
So, let me see, for Secretary of State, I can either have:
A. Susan Rice, who has been a flop at the UN, is disliked by many on the Left intensely, is considered an ignorant, petulant, and haughty bytch by Putin, some of the more powerful leaders in the ME, and China, and has a history of coddling dictators at the expense of the human rights of people in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
OR
B. John Kerry, who believes that my individual rights, including those involving property and energy choices, must be made subservient to the common good of the country and the world, would lower my standard of living by raising my taxes so that the funds could be redistributed to peoples and lands that somehow I owe because of colonialism, imperialism, oppression, or whatever that happened long before I was born even though the money would go to the tinpot dicKtators or juntas that currently run those same countries and oppress those same people, and would promoted the implementation of a corrupt cap-n-trade system that makes the crony capitalists rich at the expense of everyone else.
Um, I’m going to have to go with A even though I can’t stand Rice and think that Kerry would be a better SOS. I had forgotten about the implications of his membership in the Cult of Gaia. Speaking of which, the Gingrich supporters that get on my case about him need to watch the Lincoln-Douglas-style debate he had with Kerry on AGW. Scary.

The one that “President Nixon” sent to “Cambodia” on “Christmas Day, 1968.”
At least Senator Blumenthal only lied once in each sentence about his Vietnam service…
“I served in Vietnam.” = 1 lie
“President Nixon sent to me to Cambodia on Christmas Day, 1968.” = 3 lies

Lurch as SecDef? No way. He knows the most about the science of climate change than any other senator? Big whoop, that’s not saying much now is it?

So, if he gets people out of their SUV’s and Iran detonates a nuke, are we then going to freeze our asses off?

Kerry is just one more world class commie Democrat liar and fraud.
Just think of his children and he has that bull shit fraud CIA hat of his around, and they have access to the internet and can find the truth. How low is he, that low.
It only takes one web site to blow he and Al Gore, and the CO2 fraud crowd out of the deal.

All the facts are there, end of the CO2 lie was when we got the East Anglia Univ. e-mails.

John Kerry has been just itching for a new altar to preach some more Amerika-is-evil sanctimony while his wallet sags with that sweet ketchup money.
This should be just perfect for him, plus it has that new and improved eco twist which adds a youthful shine to that long dull sackface of his.
Maybe Kerry is part of Obama’s clever plan to build support for Rice.

As I said on another thread, the US could save a ton of tax money if we fired every Diversity officer and Climate Change deputy in all the cabinet departments. What a waste.

With radicals taking over much of the middle east and N Africa, Iran trying to build the bomb, and all the other things going on, I don’t want my State department distracted by trivialities. That’s how ambassadors get killed.

Kerry is not the Sec of State yet! I hope he intends to get rid of his green energy investments and will abide by the new insider trading laws his “friend” Scott Brown snuck thru before they were able to get rid of him.
He should surely get as much scrutiny for his investments as Romney did, now that we know he was rich when he ran for president. I understand that the ketchup is not grown in the U.S. anymore…hmmm…
