They all agreed on the Sequester last year so let the Sequester happen. No move that furthers the class warfare waged in the income tax brackets (or the straight revenues) should be supported by anyone making any claim to being conservative in any way.

Let the Sequester occur, which will, at least, move to flatten out the income taxes. Other than that, there’s nothing good that the GOP can do – and I’m sure that there’s nothing good they’re even thinking of doing.

In any event, no more GOP votes from me. Enough is enough.

Compromise what?

They are going to get their wish when Boehner caves…and I will be shocked indeed if he does not. Any compromise is meaningless. The two parties are arguing about how many grains of crumbs should be shaved off the pie and who has to go without.

So? Most Americans didn’t want Obamacare and it was forced down our throats.

Most Americans want a European-style welfare state, but don’t want to pay for it. “Tough titty,” said the kitty, “but the milk is all gone.”

Raise taxes on the middle class until they either pay for the programmes they vote for or decide they no longer want the big government that they say they oppose, in general, but love when broken down, individually. This sort of “NIMBY” application to taxing and spending MUST stop.

Go Thelma and Louise on New Year’s Day! I don’t care what happens to the economy next year. The time has come to force a confrontation on this fundamental disconnect that the American people have.
