Gallup
Poll: More Americans want leaders to compromise on fiscal cliff
Seventy-three percent of Democrats want their leaders to compromise, little changed from 71% last week. But Republicans and independents express more widespread interest in compromise than they did last week — with Republicans moving from 55% to 67% in favor of compromise, while independents moved from 61% to 70%.

The American voting public has already demonstrated by it’s re-election of Obama that it has no interest in fiscal sanity.
Let them get the fiscal insanity they voted for. Good and hard.

OK, here’s your compromise: Let it burn

But the press keeps reporting that its only about raising taxes. Imagine that? Why would they miss this aspect of polling? Are they trying to control the messaging?

Wow, they must be really angry at Obama for his absolute refusal to compromise.

No compromise – let it burn.

So? Most Americans didn’t want Obamacare and it was forced down our throats.
Most Americans want a European-style welfare state, but don’t want to pay for it. “Tough titty,” said the kitty, “but the milk is all gone.”
Raise taxes on the middle class until they either pay for the programmes they vote for or decide they no longer want the big government that they say they oppose, in general, but love when broken down, individually. This sort of “NIMBY” application to taxing and spending MUST stop.
Go Thelma and Louise on New Year’s Day! I don’t care what happens to the economy next year. The time has come to force a confrontation on this fundamental disconnect that the American people have.

What makes those polled think bho/d’s/r’s give a flit what they want? They don’t pay attention to us most of the time what we want?

Someone explain to me why we can trust these polls? Is the collection and “weighting” so much different from their election polls?

Most Americans are just stupid.

Compromise what?
They are going to get their wish when Boehner caves…and I will be shocked indeed if he does not. Any compromise is meaningless. The two parties are arguing about how many grains of crumbs should be shaved off the pie and who has to go without.

They all agreed on the Sequester last year so let the Sequester happen. No move that furthers the class warfare waged in the income tax brackets (or the straight revenues) should be supported by anyone making any claim to being conservative in any way.
Let the Sequester occur, which will, at least, move to flatten out the income taxes. Other than that, there’s nothing good that the GOP can do – and I’m sure that there’s nothing good they’re even thinking of doing.
In any event, no more GOP votes from me. Enough is enough.

Here is what bho’s plan is for this mess? This is probably just the tip of the iceberg!
