Michigan state rep on right-to-work law: “There will be blood”
“There will be blood,” State Representative Douglas Geiss threatened from the floor of the Michigan House of Representatives today as the body debated legislation that would make Michigan the nation’s 24th right to work state.
“I really wish we had not gone here,” Geiss continued. “It is the leadership in this house that has led us here. The same leadership that tried to throw a bomb right on election day, leading to a member switching parties, and came in at the 11th hour with a gotcha bill. For that, I do not see solace, I do not see peace.”

That kind of garbage needs to be called out by the GOP. It’s outrageous. If they can criticize Palin for targets on a map, we should certainly call them out for ridiculous threats like that.

So someone is threatening violence because a group is no longer allowed to force people to pay them a protection fee?
Wow.
Back in the day that was called extortion and RICO was enacted to help stop it.
Only in a liberal’s warped mind is this type of behavior okay.
ButterflyDragon on December 11, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Folks, this bill being considered does not even impact collective bargaining. All it does is remove the forced garnishment of wages for union dues and make it voluntary. It’s all about union bosses’ pocketbooks, NOT worker’s unionization rights. It IS about worker FREEDOM.

I like how he couches it, those evil Republicans forced him to the point where he can not contain himself. He’s probably just mad because he’ll have to go out and do his own fundraising now.

I just posted this on another one of the MI threads. I had forgotten that I had it. If you want to see yet another example of Democrats reaching the heights of rank hypocrisy, this is it:

Heh, I’d love to see Douglas Geiss’ meager brains splattered onto something very hard. Now, that w/b very schadenfreudig to watch.
How do such fools make it into such positions? Oh, wait, he wants “blood”.

RWM, indeed – the leftist terrorist creeps never consider the freedom to vote the other way.
May they all spontaneously combust from tyranny.

Yeah, all those unemployed folks should FIGHT for their RIGHT to unionize!
How on earth can you oppose a “right to work” law? I mean, who objects to the idea that people should be allowed to work? The GOP should be able to win this argument.
hawksruleva on December 11, 2012 at 12:10 PM
So naturally, Dems oppose it. Democrats, like their cousins in Socialism, talk about “the rights of the worker” but really are only concerned with the power and wealth congregated in the hands of union and government leaders.
hawksruleva on December 11, 2012 at 12:12 PM
Atlas Shrugged was meant to be a cautionary tale, not an instruction guide.
Democraps apparently are using it as an instruction guide.
UltimateBob on December 11, 2012 at 12:14 PM
Well if it was an argument based on truth, yes, they would win it.
But it’s not based on truth. Obama blatantly lied yesterday when he said the law would take away bargaining rights. It does no such thing.
Did the media call him out on that lie? LOL Not hardly. They went along with it.
The law doesn’t change bargaining abilities whatsoever.

Just a little thing I’ve been noticing is that the lefty site I check a lot, HuffPo, is hardly covering this RTW vote at all. It’s strange, especially after all the Scott Walker=Hitler coverage we’ve seen this year.
But once again a Democrat will get away with New Tone(tm) behavior a Repub would never be excused for.

Surely, you jest! When it comes to the actions of The Left, The Right “made them do it!”
According to RFK, Jr, who was really responsible for JFK’s a.s.s.a.s.sination?
A. Lee Harvey Oswald
B. The Right and their “toxic vitriol”
Answer: B…even though A, who was a well-known Communist who had once defected to the Soviet Union, had attempted to a.s.s.a.s.sinate Gerneral Edwin Walker, an actual real-life member of the John Birch Society and charter member of the Conspiracy Theorists of America.
Make sure to read the comments. Some of the posters actually remember where they were when the “extreme right-wing killed Kennedy.”
Who or what was responsible for the massacre in Tuscon?
A. Jared Loughner
B. A plus his parents, the police, his school, and society for failing to address his paranoid schizophrenia.

D. A gun and the NRA.
E. Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and “extreme speech”
Answer – in order of most to least responsible: E, D, B, A, C.

A. James Holmes
B. Guns and the NRA
C. Some mixture of both A & B, but with B definitely being more responsible than A.

Answer: C, although the MSM would LOVE to just go with straight B.
Who or what was responsible for the attack on the consulate in Benghazi?

B. Islamism
C. The United States and its history of oppression, colonialism, and imperialism
D. A movie.

Luv, being a Progressive means NEVER having to say you’re sorry or wrong.
In the 1950s, Premier Nikita Khrushchev admitted Stalin’s atrocities…and he would have known!
Where does the Far Left come down on Stalin? Khrushchev was lying…(and the Soviet Union never really invade Poland with Hitler).
