Because inauguration day falls on a Sunday in 2013, Chief Justice John Roberts will officially administer the official oath of office in a private ceremony that day.

During which Obama will thank Roberts for his decisive vote to uphold the mandate.

Got to hope Obama doesn’t slip Roberts a mickey. Roberts has a health problem right now, and is medicated for seizures, details of which are not clear.

To be honest, I don’t like the idea of Roberts alone in a room with Obama, and his cohorts. If I were Roberts, I would decline on health grounds and have one of obama’s appointees give the oath. It would be non traditional but safer for Roberts

Shame it has come to this, the same state as Imperial Rome at the end when every gift could contain the adder’s bite.
