Really? His forte is historical fiction, which is highly derivative of actual events, with his liberal twist. “Midnight Run”, “Nixon”, “JFK”. And then left-wing spins on eras like “Wall Street” and “Platoon”. I wouldn’t call looking at history through a left-wing lens particularly “original”.
