If Michelle Obama decided she wanted to follow the Hillary Clinton route once her husband leaves office in 2016 and go to the Senate, she’d have the upper hand on Mark Kirk.

No, her husband leaves office on January 20th 2017, which is why this is academic. She's not running for Senate while she's still the reigning First Lady.

She has already talked about running for president in 2016. All she needs is a couple of years as a senator to give her the extra edge. Not that she would need it. If hubby can’t pull another couple of terms out his backside I expect the fallback position is her for president and you know she would win. And yes I realize the president is term limited but if you think that will stop him or his cult you have been asleep the last few years.
