White House won’t rule out a Wintour pick
White House press secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday would not specifically address reports that President Obama is considering Vogue editor Anna Wintour for an ambassaorship to the UK or France, but he left the door open to such an unorthodox pick.
Let’s go to the briefing transcript: …
“Q: You don’t deny that Anna Wintour can become ambassador…?
Carney: I will not engage in any speculation about personnel announcements. I just won’t.”

Perfect! The woman whose magazine celebrated the Assad family’s fabulous shoe collection can be nominated to the most prestigious diplomatic post evah just as the Syrian conflict, replete with chemical weapons, reaches a boiling point. Tres chic!

She couldn’t be any worse than Joseph Kennedy on the run up to WWII. Could she pull Sec. Clinton aside and give her some tips? Geesh, who dresses her?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been assigned the job of giving Hilary Clinton fashion tips. She’s the go-to person after Vogue featured her before the election, miraculously transformed from Chuckles the Clown into a sophisticated ingenue thanks to the miracle of Vogues talented makeup artists/computers.

That reminded me of what a woman’s mag in NZ did to former PM Helen Clark just before the 2005 election: they actually made her look like a human female. I could just imagine the software code in Photoshop labouring to do that like rowers on a slave galley during a storm lol…

Yes yes yes! Wintour would have to give up her day job as editor to US Vogue which has become boring and predictable.
