Obama to appeal to business leaders on raising the debt ceiling
President Obama will appeal to business leaders on Wednesday, calling on them to press lawmakers to raise the U.S. debt limit during “fiscal cliff” negotiations.
Obama, who will meet with executives from the Business Roundtable on Wednesday, hopes to avoid another protracted fight over the debt ceiling and has sought to include it in ongoing deficit talks.
“The president will highlight why it would hurt our economy and our nation’s businesses if we do not find a solution to avoid another debt-ceiling crisis, and will ask the business leaders for their help in supporting an approach that resolves the debt limit without drama or delay,” said a White House official, according to a report from Reuters.

Lord, I hope these business leaders give Obama a piece of their minds. But I am not optimistic.

Obama is insane … so are business leaders if they meet with him.
The only reason he’s calling them there is to threaten them. He doesn’t want their support … he demands their undying allegiance.

I betcha they dare not give him a piece of their mind. He who controls the IRS controls the future. And groups like Color of Change are always at the ready with boycotts should these businesses have incorrect thoughts.

Obama’s method is completely antithetical to the goal of business of enjoying the fruits of one’s own labors. According to Obama, business and everyone else works for the State. In Obama’s world, we’re slaves, working for him. Our hopes, dreams, aspirations, they’re just props in his scheme to redistribute wealth. I’m seeing this more clearly as time goes on.

I can not believe any business would go along with what bho has in mind on the debt ceiling! More taxes on everything they make, more taxes on dividends they give to investors, bhocare will eat their lunch on taxes, regulation through the roof, more money paid for all the new irs tax krap, etc etc.!
Those business leader would be nuts to go along with bho, period! Unless bho will give them one of his foto’s waivers?

Let me guess…

Let’s be blunt in our definitions here:
Business leaders who go along with his majesty – Collaborators.
Does anyone really believe that we can veer off the dead-end road we’re on?
We don’t have a choice in the country’s direction – the looters have voted for the nation’s descent into the pit of Marxism.
The only choice we have in how we deal with the speed of this decline.

In 2008, then-Senator Obama promised that all health-care negotiations would take place on C-SPAN. However, the committee’s findings contradict the president’s rhetoric on transparency.

It would be proper if one of these business leaders explained to the Idiot that if one of their employees spent billions of dollars with zero accountablility or balance, they would be immediately fired. They would not have a sit-down with that employee to discuss how to repeat the mistake. Someone has to have the nerve to explain Business 101 to our drunken sailor president.

Business “leaders” are put in charge of their company for one reason: to ensure the profitability and longevity of their corporation.
When business leaders are forced to deal with Big Government they will try to get a “seat at the table,” because they have no choice if they want to prosper in this political climate, and because doing so gives them a huge advantage over smaller companies with less access to the technocrats.
In other words, just because the free market is under assault doesn’t mean that big corporations will just pack it in, they will try to use Big Government to their advantage, and to their competition’s disadvantage.
This is one of the many, many “unseen” negative side effects of Big Government. The market (aka the people) do not pick winners and losers: the government does.
