Video: Israelis “lack empathy” for “oppressed” Palestinians, says Clinton
At the 2012 Saban Forum on Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denounced the lack of Israeli understanding for the Palestinians in negotiations: “I’m not making excuses for the missed opportunities of the Israelis, or the lack of generosity, the lack of empathy that I think goes hand-in-hand with the suspicion. So, yes, there is more that the Israelis need to do to really demonstrate that they do understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds.” She also insisted that Israel must continue to negotiate with the Palestinians in order “to occupy the moral high ground.”

This is surreal. A lack of generosity? How many deals have been in place offering 95% of what the PLO asked for? What is ungenerous about releasing 1000 men to get 1 Israeli back? How could anyone seriously suggest Jews of all people do not “understand the pain of an oppressed people in their minds.”? The Obama administration is going to let Israel fall. There is no other explanation for even uttering such stupidity as this.

Shocking. Israel is a democracy that wants to live in peace. Hamas, trained and supported by the worst dictatorships in the world, Iran and Syria. Live by the terrorist attack. Sometimes, one side is wrong, and the other is right. This is one of those times.

We do not in any way condone criticism of that great religion, Islam, but the First Amendment prevents us from punishing such criticism, which we’d love to do if we could, but again, that inconvenient and truly obnoxious First Amendment prevents us from doing the right thing.
Sorry about the First Amendment stuff. Freedom is one thing, but freedom to make fun of someone else’s way of life, that’s just wrong. Oh and keep those kid’s cartoons depicting Jews as pigs coming. I can’t get enough of those.

My generation is going to be absolutely clobbered by this on a social level. We’ve either refused to listen ourselves or older conservatives haven’t been able to get their message through the static of mass media.
But the 200-car freight train “Reality Special” is barreling down on us at frightening speed. In most painful ways imaginable we are going to learn that you cannot make up your own morality, spirituality, and/or definitions of ‘fairness’ and declare them to be true. No matter how many times you whine about ‘bigotry’ (which you’ve never really seen), you are still a filthy pervert whom God explicitly states he despises. You are not an “enlightened womyn” for supporting abortion and having 1-night stands every other day of the week, you are a murder-condoning slut. Supporting “social justice” just means you’re a thief too chicken to go steal the money yourself.
We’re like a rebellious child refusing to admit that his imaginary superhero is NOT standing right behind him and that it is WRONG for him to be snitching cookies. Being an American involves accepting that there are actually quite a lot of people out there that will hate you simply for that. Even the dang Canadians know it. That’s why they stitch the Maple Leaf to their kit – they want to get through their foreign travels without someone mistaking them for an American. It’s not national pride in Canada (does such a thing even exist?) – it’s acceptance that engenders fear and a coping strategy.
Being an American AND a Jew necessarily involves a lot of extra people hating you. A mere 7 countries voted against the farce that went down at the UN the other day.
Evaluate, adapt, and overcome or be a sheep and see how that works out. As Shy notes above – it doesn’t.
