Reid to GOP negotiators: “You’re doing it wrong”
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Republicans are “doing it wrong” when it comes to negotiating a deal to avoid the fiscal cliff.
During a floor speech Monday, Reid said Republicans should offer their own deficit-reduction plan now that they’ve rejected President Obama’s proposal.
“I’ve done my fair share of negotiating,” Reid said. “So I have a bit of advise for the Republican Leader — you’re doing it wrong.”

I’m not sure Scary Harry cares about or even fully comprehends the facts. He’s always struck me as someone who underwent intensive electroconvulsive therapy — Has that resultant scowl and CRS.

Reid is a world-class expert in “doing it wrong.”

Folks, it doesn’t matter if the R’s offer a counter proposal, it doesn’t matter if the counter proposal is better objectively or politically. All that matters is Harry comes out and announces that the R’s don’t know what they’re doing, won’t negotiate in good faith and have no solutions to the problem. Why? Because nobody is listening to the R’s they’re only listening to the news and the news is only reporting what Harry says. He doesn’t have to speak logically, he doesn’t have to speak the truth. The people will hear what they are told: The Republicans are the problem and that’s why things are going to hell in a handbasket.

Dear Senator Reid,
You get a choice. Will you be wanting to bunk with Stalin or Ted Kennedy?
See you soon,
Satan
P.S. I can’t be filibustered.

Harry, please stick to advising the transparent party leaders.

Well, this is what I hate about the GOP. This Sunday, Turbo Tax Geithner was on all the Sunday morning shows making these points. Why couldn’t the GOP have released this plan yesterday and had spokesmen on all these shows after Geithner to respond and get some press out there?
I mean, for heaven’s sake, you have to st least try to compete!

Reid manages (like DWS) to repeat buzz words into his talking points and to say absolutely nothing of consequence.
The middle class will be the next target for raising “revenue” (a la tax increases) because eventually the Dem spending spree will of necessity mean that those taxes will have to go up.
Boehner is going to have to work in the phrases “middle class” and “balanced approach” in a convincing way to demonstrate that the current tax rates must be maintained (in fact, made permanent) in order to assure balance, fairness, and justice to all taxpayers, or that the taxes will have to go up for all for the same ends.
With his reference to a coming “destructive fight,” Reid has indicated that he has no intention of setting a limit on the debt ceiling and thus no intention of cutting government growth at all.

Ok. Serious question. Lets just say ok raise
Taxes on the wealthy. Then since House of
Reps controls the purse strings get the money and then appropiate it to the
federal debt or the military whatever. Would that work?

Well, since the GOP has been taking advice from the left since 11/6, why not listen to Reid? Maybe it will hasten the demise of the Republican Party and give rise to one that is unabashedly Conservative.
