Washington state set to legalize marijuana use without DOJ guidance
Prosecutors throughout the state have begun dismissing hundreds of misdemeanor marijuana cases, according to authorities there, and state and local police are being retrained to arrest drivers who are high and allow adults to light up in their homes.
Marijuana, however, is still illegal under federal law. State officials say the Justice Department is creating confusion by remaining silent about what steps it may take in Washington and Colorado, which passed initiatives in November legalizing the manufacturing, distribution and possession of up to an ounce of marijuana.
Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire (D) met with Deputy Attorney General James Cole at the Justice Department, but came away with no answers.

Excellent.
WA is a state crawling with leftist moonbats but in their desire to get high they are, ironically, asserting states rights.
Far out, dude.

“What is federalism?”
- DOJ

Every state that passed marijuana laws should stand against the Fed as a way of striking the first blow in weakening their power. They have to be stopped.
The easiest weapon they have is federal funding. The other more damaging and potentially crippling one will be to demand that the drug go thru normal drug approval/safety testing for general consumption.

The only thing I got to say is, you still need to leave employers the ability to test and discriminate as required. Drive the stoners into crappy jobs so they displace the Illegal immigrants!

My thoughts exactly.

Legalizing MJ while outlawing Big Gulps seems to be a dangerous combination.

I pray the potheads don’t take a page from the gayfia’s playbook and start suing/harassing/threatening businesses for refusing to bow to their lifestyle.
I’ve got terrible mental images of, say, a construction company losing a lawsuit because they refused to let people who wouldn’t take drug tests operate heavy/dangerous machinery. Imagine reading THAT in your local newspaper and then remembering that said company is doing work across the street from your kids’ school…

Someone called for a quorum but nobody could remember how many that would be.

Right after they drive people like you into reeducation camps!
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 10:25 PM
Pfft, let them try. There’s no educating that self-righteous breeder.
…not that you’re any prize in the mental department.
MelonCollie on December 2, 2012 at 10:25 PM
Like you have any grounds to talk, bigot.
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 10:29 PM
You have less grounds than reused coffee beans, liberal pervert.
MelonCollie on December 2, 2012 at 10:31 PM
I think if we’re going to ruin peoples lives and make them work in crappy jobs, the bigots who harbor such nefarious designs should be at the front of the line.
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 10:35 PM
Whatever…. your insults against me have no basis in reality so they do not perturb me in the least, whereas you are, in truth, a bigot.
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 10:41 PM
Liberal trolltard dictionary:
“Racist”: Anyone who disagrees with a ‘minority’.
“Bigot”: Anyone who disagrees with my destructive lifestyle.
MelonCollie on December 2, 2012 at 10:45 PM
Then you know nothing about heavy machinery, industry or labor laws.
Drug testing is mandatory in many industries and if you even want to walk on to some job sites with fed contracts, or regulated trade you have to pass drug and background checks.
Use your brain.
Or are you high?
You’re trying to equate to entirely different areas of law by simply calling them lifestyles. Use your brain for something else other than regurgitating other peoples’ ideas. You’re getting your wires crossed with your spaghetti.

Any truth to the rumor that Frito-Lay co-sponsored?
viking01 on December 2, 2012 at 10:48 PM
Wow.
Calling someone a pervert because you believe or they state they are gay is pretty outdated. Do you wear a suit to baseball game too?
Interesting how often the virulently anti-gay are thinking about being gay.
Capitalist Hog on December 2, 2012 at 10:49 PM
I see, so in your opinion there is no such thing as bigotry, it’s only a tactic used by liberal trolltards to attack innocent people such as yourself?
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 10:50 PM
Eff you if you drive stone or drunk. OK. Got that off my chest.
Capitalist Hog on December 2, 2012 at 10:50 PM
So is calling a promiscuous woman a slut. It’s still a valid statement even if it offends your amoral, fairy-floss mind.
FTFY.
MelonCollie on December 2, 2012 at 10:51 PM
Also, calling someone a “breeder” is not so fabulous.
Capitalist Hog on December 2, 2012 at 10:52 PM
Do you have a lot of sex with your wife? Is she promiscuous?
Capitalist Hog on December 2, 2012 at 10:53 PM
Whiners like you who throw around terms like “oppression”, “bigotry”, etc. have never even seen such things. You’ve grown up in the freest nation in the world and are spoiled rotten by it.
MelonCollie on December 2, 2012 at 10:54 PM
You didn’t answer my question but I didn’t expect you to. Bigotry is irrational, by nature, and thus impossible to defend rationally.
FloatingRock on December 2, 2012 at 11:14 PM
I have always wondered what a circular firing squad looked like.
I need wonder no more.
