Taliban attack U.S. base in Jalalabad
Taliban suicide bombers have killed four Afghan soldiers and wounded Nato troops in an attack on a joint US-Afghan airbase in eastern Afghanistan.
A local police chief told the BBC that two civilians had been also killed in the attack on the base in Jalalabad.
Afghan intelligence officials said nine suicide attackers had been involved in the assault, and all had been killed.
Nato said the attackers had failed to penetrate the base. It is unclear how many of its troops were injured.

Is this the same taliban that bho/hill/rice says is on the run and not going to be a problem any longer? Guess we better fling a billion more at them to help stop them killing our people?

You sure it wasn’t our “allies”, is there even a difference anymore?

Scary what is going to happen if we ever get out of there. My son just told us that he will be deployed to Afghanistan mid 2013.
*sigh*

Oh dear, bless your heart and prayers for you and your son along with all others in our military serving. We have a family member in afghanistan also now.

Funny how the Left/media doesn’t demand a justification for continuing this war of choice every day.

Rhetorical humor right? Nothing much funny about the way the media uses the military for fodder to destroy Conservatives and enhance the resume of liberals. They are disgusting WisCon. Where are their anti-war protests now? When did they take to the streets after any announcement of GITMO operations being extended under Obama?
If this is all that’s left of what we can exert for our military by reelecting this administration, then it’s time for them to come home. It’s not fair for families like tencole’s to keep sending their children for this man.

Us as well (In transit from Kabul to Spin Boldak). When this broke last night, the misreporting was nerve wracking.

Completely agree. Back when we started the wars and actually had concrete goals, all we heard about from them was the innocent people we were killing and how our people were beeing “needlessly” sacrificed.
Well, where is that same attitude now when really all we are doing is nation building?

My old unit and most of my friends are home now. I’m here with the 101st though training again and J-Bad is their FOB. All of RC-East is. Prayers for all your loved ones there.

My cousin’s unit is deploying to Afghanistan in January. He jokingly asked my grandma if she had enough pull with the government to get him out of it, and she said, “Well, if I had enough pull with them, the election would have gone differently!”
Prayers for all the deployed represented here. Don’t forget to send care packages too, they are very much appreciated!

But, I thought Obama had them on the run and they were degraded?!?!
Benghazi blowback for refusing to give them proper credit and trying to blame it on a video??
