Liberals blast Susan Rice’s “outrageous” investments in pipeline firm
A liberal group launched an online petition Friday demanding that potential secretary of State nominee Susan Rice divest herself of “every dollar of stock” in the Canadian company seeking approval for the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline to the Gulf Coast.
The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations owns between $300,000 and $600,000 in TransCanada Corp. stock, according to her financial disclosure forms. The pipeline needs approval from the State Department before it can go forward. …
Green groups are pressing the White House to require that any nominee for the position divest themselves of any stock in TransCanada or other oil sands companies.

Seems to me this article is saying that Liberals/Green Groups are blasting her for being aligned with oil. Isn’t the real issue here the conflict of interest/ethics issue?

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what I’d call diversified crony capitalism. At the top, we have BHO with his ‘green energy’ projects. Yeah, no kickbacks from there, I’m sure. Then we have Rice with plain old energy investments. Keystone passes, and profits would be stratospheric. Win-win either way.

In a just world, Jawn Kerry would have been tried, convicted, and executed under the Logan Act for his unauthorised shenanigans during the Paris peace talks in 1972, much less his empty claims of US soldiers committing war crimes during Vietnam.
If either he or Hanoi Jane suddenly croaked one day, I’d have about as much sympathy for them as I did when Senator Theodore Edward Kennedy (D-CHIVAS) died a few years back – which is to say, none.

Many Democrats are such phonies. The preach about wealth distribution and all that socialist b.s. but in reality they are just crooks. They want to get rich off “managing” wealth distribution and government and then use it to invest into companies that kiss their ass so they can get even more money.
That is why they admire China today so much. A uni-party government, in bed with certain big businesses and industries that give the proper tribute OR are actually owned by people in the party. That is why all those Chinese millionaires are mostly members of the “communist” party.
Raising taxes on the “rich” is really an attempt to prevent any small businesses and start-ups from rising up to challenge those big companies and organizations that have given their protection money. They use the cover that it is making the rich pay their fair share to hoodwink the poorer people in this country into thinking they might get something out of the deal, like a cheap free phone worth about $25…sort of like getting a free calculator (made in Mongolia) from your bank after they raised your checking account fees.
This is one area the GOP needs better messaging and needs to pick people who look and act the part. The GOP is the party of individual liberty and free market capitalism, not crooked capitalism…

Keep in mind, no matter how blatant the hypocrisy, the truth of her or Kerry or any other Democrat being a lying, capitalistic money grubbing sack of sh*t in their own personal lives simply doesn’t matter anymore..
The recipients just don’t care, they just want theirs, and the media will simply blame anybody that IS NOT a Democrat..
