Doesn’t change the fact that nothing about this proposal bears any resemblence to anything that Obama campaigned on.

Boehner needs to stand up, do a national press conference and SPELL OUT the ridiculousness of Obama’s proposal POINT BY POINT and reiterate that it’s the SPENDING which got us to this cliff, and tell folks that even if we DOUBLED taxes we can’t catch up to the TRILLION in deficit spending every year AND the fact that Obama/Libs DOUBLED the pace of “unpatriotic” spending that Bush did. Simple, easy to understand SOUND BITES of Obama’s proposal and the facts.

Boehner’s platform is what, exactly? Pretty small. Nobody would even notice if he did something like that. Now, if we had a presidential nominee. Whee, doggie. Then we could get some attention. Now, a presidential candidate who drew contrasts and promoted free market principles and solutions and their benefits over socialism, could really get somewhere … Isn’t there supposed to be a presidential election in 2012? I’m anxiously awaiting these arguments!

This is exactly the crux of these fools. They simply don’t understand. Businesses with equal expenses, taxes or otherwise are only successful if they can pass those expenses on and retain their profits. Personally I didn’t like price increases but business wise as long as my competitors got the same thing it didn’t matter.
