Boehner “flabbergasted” by Obama’s cliff proposal
“Right now I would say we’re nowhere. Period. We’re nowhere. We’ve put a serious offer on the table by putting revenues up there to try to get this question resolved, but the White House has responded with virtually nothing,” Boehner said on “Fox News Sunday.”
Boehner said the reason negotiations are going so poorly is that Obama administration officials – in particular, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner – aren’t taking Republicans seriously. Boehner said he was shocked at Geithner’s proposal to Republicans last week.
“I was flabbergasted. I looked at him and I said, ‘You can’t be serious.’ I’ve just never seen anything like it,” Boehner said.

Thugs and charlatans rule the land.
The last shred of decency is dead in the once freest country on Earth.
Now she is just the stupidest.

Boehner needs to stand up, do a national press conference and SPELL OUT the ridiculousness of Obama’s proposal POINT BY POINT and reiterate that it’s the SPENDING which got us to this cliff, and tell folks that even if we DOUBLED taxes we can’t catch up to the TRILLION in deficit spending every year AND the fact that Obama/Libs DOUBLED the pace of “unpatriotic” spending that Bush did. Simple, easy to understand SOUND BITES of Obama’s proposal and the facts.

But will he cry about it?
Maybe if he had paid attention to many months of campaigning and Obama’s winning platform he wouldn’t have to feign panic over what was known for a long time.

Let all the rates go back to the Clinton level.
It will demonstrate to the middle and lower classes how much Obama hates them.
The rich will never pay more. It’s all talk. They will just add the increase to the prices of what they offer/sell.
Only fools don’t get this.
Obama hates and wants to destroy the middle class.

Obama’s got the media and racial politics, what do we got?

lester, I hope that you and your relatives will be totally destroyed by Obama. May you starve, in the cold/dark. YOU deserve NO less.
Those from the right who brung Obama, you and yours should suffer the same fate.

Obama and the media are literally in bed together. May they suffer the cripples they give birth to. Just look around. It’s all in front of your eyes.
May God damn them all.

Obama is a narcissist whose vision is paramount to him. So, he doesn’t work well with others. His vision is for the greatest transfer of wealth to the poor, and for the greatest government control. To him, this shows he cares, and is a compassionate person. The effect will be to stifle economic growth.
But just as in the capital gains tax rate debate, where he stated he’d raise them for the purpose of “fairness” and no other reason, he has his narrow, utopian vision of what is fair and right and just and good, and it doesn’t include setting up fair rules and then letting the free market work its magic with its “invisible hand”. No, it’s Obama’s hand that will decide who gets what. Because, mirror, mirror on the wall, he’s the fairest of them all.

I wish ROMNEY had done that. Take the insane nature of this borrowing directly to the electorate. Now, Boehner’s staff insisted he go on Fox News Sunday today with Chris Wallace, and Boehner clearly said, this borrowing burdening our children and grandchildren has to stop now. No more kicking the can down the road. So, at least he went out and said something.

WELL boehner, if you are so bent out of shape at the proposal, how about going the doctor, get a shot of testosterone and stand up bho and the thugs? If you have a good nurse the shot won’t hurt you one bit!

Its our money and our future. Why are the negotiations not televised?
No seriously…what is the excuse that is used for this not being done?

Keyser Soze Option

This is exactly the crux of these fools. They simply don’t understand. Businesses with equal expenses, taxes or otherwise are only successful if they can pass those expenses on and retain their profits. Personally I didn’t like price increases but business wise as long as my competitors got the same thing it didn’t matter.

Over his head too, in this brave new world of ‘progressive’ Chicago politics.
We are so screwed.
petefrt on December 2, 2012 at 6:34 PM
Exactly.
“In a way the House GOP finds itself in the same position as Keyser Soze. Our home has been invaded. Our family despoiled. And we are facing a never ending series of ever increasing demands from the criminals who have abused us.”

Whenever one of these lily-livered, spineless GOP twits stands up and “talks tough” like this, is anyone else reminded of the “Harrumph” scene from Blazing Saddles, or is it just me?

Boehner’s platform is what, exactly? Pretty small. Nobody would even notice if he did something like that. Now, if we had a presidential nominee. Whee, doggie. Then we could get some attention. Now, a presidential candidate who drew contrasts and promoted free market principles and solutions and their benefits over socialism, could really get somewhere … Isn’t there supposed to be a presidential election in 2012? I’m anxiously awaiting these arguments!

He probably will cry. And piss himself. And cower in a dark corner.
Doesn’t change the fact that nothing about this proposal bears any resemblence to anything that Obama campaigned on.
