White House opposes new Israeli settlement construction
The White House condemned Israel’s decision to build more than 3,000 new settlements in the occupied West Bank and in East Jerusalem.
“We reiterate our longstanding opposition to settlements and East Jerusalem construction and announcements,” National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said.
“We believe these actions are counterproductive and make it harder to resume direct negotiations or achieve a two state solution. Direct negotiations remain our goal and we encourage all parties to take steps to make that easier to achieve,” Vietor said.

The condemnation smells of weakness and failure. Shove off, Obama.

Do those living in settlements have full representation in the Knesset? Do their Arab neighbors?

Why would they give representation to their genocidal enemies?
Darth Executor on November 30, 2012 at 9:16 PM
Because the left in this country want them to and the left in this country hate Jews.

Israel owns this land. They can do whatever they want. Does Israel ever tell our government what to do with federally owned lands?

Pretty sloppy use of language, probably intentionally inflammatory. It is not 3000 new settlements. It is 3000 new homes in existing settlements. The enemies of Israel are trying to incite condemnation for only a moderate action.

I oppose Israeli settlement construction.
I think the Israelis need to withdraw their people behind the 1967 borders, build 50 foot walls around the paleostinian territories and rim them with infrared tracking motion sensing automated quad-.50 calibre turrets.
And then they should cut the paleostinians off… completely. No more food, no more water, no more public utilities of any kind. Just kindly inform them that Iran and Egypt will be covering their daily living needs from now on.

Who cares
What they gonna do, have Hillary tape another set of apologies. Maybe they could arrest a Jew in the US for parole violation. They could blame the settlements on a youtube video. Heres another idea, they could demand the debt ceiling be raised until the Jews surrender.
This WH couldnt get itself worked up to condemn the slaughter at Benghazi. Oops, I forgot, they caused the slaughter.

At least there building somewhere, not tearing down and letting the city return to wilderness as no one will live there due to the violence and poverty, like Detroit.
