Under pressure, Stevie Wonder pulls out of fundraiser for IDF
Wonder’s representatives will claim that he did not know the nature of the group, the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, and that he believes such a performance would be incongruent with his status as a UN “Messenger of Peace,” according to a source who has read email exchanges between Wonder’s representatives and organizers of the event…
The United Nations does not impose restrictions on its goodwill representatives. Wonder most recently performed at a UN concert commemoratiing its 67th anniversary. Elie Wiesel, the Nobele Peace Laureate and Holocaust memoirist who is also a staunch defender of Israel is also a UN Messenger of Peace.
Wonder had come under intense social media pressure to pull out of the event. An online petition calling on him to cancel his performance had garnered more than 3,600 signatures.

LOL. A “U.N. Messenger of Peace” (aka obamaturdhead) can’t support obama (a sworn enemy of Israel) and support the IDF – it makes no sense. Wonder is a POS.

3600 morons signing an online petition is nothing. Well, screw you, Stevie.

This guy can’t see what’s going on? What is he blind?

That was cruel, but oh so funny

Someday if I’m lucky I’ll understand why Israel is so hated.
Frank Enstine on November 29, 2012 at 3:33 PM
By the conspicuous absence of “Death to Israel!” shouts from the crowd?
steebo77 on November 29, 2012 at 3:34 PM
Comments in the article are saying even the blind can see the truth.

So, so wrong… yet, still the thread winner.

If you find out, could you let me know?

I will not hesitate to say that Stevie Wonder is lacking sense in more ways than one. Insulting pun intended.

3,600 signatures? That’s it?
That’s nothing compared to the loss of album sales that he’s about to experience.
Note to self: Add Stevie Wonder to the list of celebrities who will never see another thin dome of my money.

Good one.

Oh well, at least we still have Reginald Kenneth Dwight.
Then again, stupid Reggie is a rabid, mindless hater of Sarah Palin.

Maybe so, but that fat little punk’s PDS is of Bill Maher-esque proportions.

I would fight for Israel. But the fact remains that the US Jewish Community voted 69 percent in favor of Obama.
I would really like to know from one of our Jewish contributers if Jews in the states don’t support Israel, or are they actually naive enough to think Israel is actually better supported by this bigoted liberal mindset?
I mean, wtf? A benefit.
Or a liberal. Answer me this. Are you so biased in your community that we’ve given up on them as an ally?

Wonder’s world view must be pretty dim, or he has tunnel vision.
Can’t he see how dumb he looks??

I was watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory last night after work. I had for a long time thought that they stayed out of even minor references to politics, save the occasional spoofing on the Christian And Jewish faiths. Mostly light-hearted I think.
But the one last night had this premise of Dr. Cooper proposing Jews move to the deserts of Mexico to try to help achieve peace in the Middle East. Even as absurbly as it’s suggested it occurred to me; WTH and “Why”TH is this even funny? Why even in a 30 minute comedy program, would it be considered a solution for Jews to have to move from their homes to solve someone else’s manufactured trials and tribulations.

Does he think that this is “what friends are for?” For “once in his life” he needs to get rid of “superstition” and “just call” the IDF “to say he loves them” or is he only a “part time lover?” Everyone has a “place in the sun” and his thinking is so “yesterme, yesteryou, yesterday.” I wish he’d just tickle those “ebony and ivory” keys in tribute to the IDF.
