I am not an on-tap message center or someone you disturb because you just found out you like cherries on your ice cream. Great. Loverly. If I wanted a constant and adoring companion I would get a dog. If I wanted one who would tell me what it thought uninvited and at inconvenient times… well I have a cat, so that’s close enough.

Which explains why I’m not on ‘social media’, as well.

I’m immune. My wife loves her phone. I ignore mine. Same super Samsung Galaxy SIII and the same plan. In fact, mine is right in front of me right now, discharged from sitting on the desk unused for many many days.

I just bought a smart phone and not because I need it so much as because they have become like a watch… They are a statement of status and to not have one or even worse to have an old, cheap one is a social faux-paux.
