Susan Rice and racism: When the ends justify the meanness
So there it is: If you criticize Susan Rice for putting out false information – possibly to protect the president who was busy telling voters that thanks to him al-Qaeda had been decimated – you’re a racist. Never mind that there is not so much as a shred of evidence to support the allegation. In cases like this, facts don’t matter. Opponents are bigots simply because they’re white and come from the South. The ends justify the meanness.
But this isn’t only about Susan Rice. This is a sordid lesson in how liberals use race and sex to smear their opponents and render them illegitimate. …
Actually there is another way to look at this. Why not accept that McCain and the others oppose Susan Rice because they disagree with what she did, and that her skin color has nothing to do with anything? Why not accept that, since there is no evidence that any of them are racists? …
Black liberals must be protected. Their honesty and their competence cannot be questioned. No criticism, no matter how reasonable and legitimate, is permitted. And so, their detractors must be slandered as racists. Liberal African American officials – especially those of the highest rank — can’t be held accountable precisely because they’re African Americans. You get the impression that simply being a black liberal is a kind of get out of jail free card? Oops, is that racist?

Take the ability of people to talk away through marginalization and they will eventually resort to bullets. Marginalizing people will ultimately end poorly.

As someone once commented here, the difference between a socialist and a Marxist is an AK47.

Yup, I’m a racist. Under the liberals ever changing definition, I’m a racist. And I don’t care. But that ever changing definition also means every single person is a racist. The word has no meaning and if the people who are accused of it simply responded with “So what?” then we can move on. As long as Republicans are afraid of the label it works. But when Republicans start challenging the liberal master baiters of race as being racist themselves then the race card will disappear. How can Chris Tingles call someone a racist or sexist when he works for a network that doesn’t hire black people and pays women less than men? He can’t. Force them to explain why they think black people should be judged with a lower criteria than white people? Affirmative action is the belief that black people are worthless and need to be propped up because they can’t do it themselves. That IS racism and anyone who supports it is a racist.

I’d take this a bit further and argue that because many liberals – not all but many – judge black liberals with a lower standard than they use for non-black Americans that when non-liberals, i.e., us, treat them with a single standard that liberals see racism.
That is, judging black liberals by the same standard we judge everyone else is – to liberals – unfair and probably racist. Black liberals, because of the racism in America and because of the historic injustice done to black people, should not be judged by the same standard. Doing so is either callous or racist.
One standard for all public figures is, in this view, racist.

Sums up liberals perfectly!
Bernie, may this become a quote of the year somewhere.
Thanks.

I’m a very good judge of character and when I look at Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and I see scum-sucking, low-life, self-serving, corrupt d-bags. Now I’m labeled as a knuckle dragging teabagger
By using my same standards, I look at Maxine Walters and I see a scum-sucking, low-life, self-serving, corrupt d-bag…..but now I’m racist knuckle draggin teabagger?
Just wanted to clear that up.

Until Condi Rice is defended by the liberals who once hurled absolutely awful things at her (metaphorically, for the most part), I don’t want to hear it.
Washington Nearsider on November 27, 2012 at 11:15 AM
I can say that Clarence Thomas and Condi Rice are incompetent and nothing will happen. In fact, liberals will praise me for my insight.
If I say Thurgood Marshall or Susan Rice are incompetent I’ll get the usual suspects attacking me.
We know how the game is played.

I still say the most racist thing I’ve heard anyone say about Obama was when he gave the State of the Union speech and Chris Matthews said it was so good he forgot the President was black.
radjah shelduck on November 27, 2012 at 11:25 AM
Democrats and obama’s state-run media keep pushing the meme that Rice and all people of color simply can’t help themselves – they lie, they cheat, they commit crimes, but, unlike whites, people of color don’t know any better and can’t help themselves. There is something very wrong with the left’s logic and message.

Well it seems the meeting with rice didn’t go real well today? The three didn’t get the answers they wanted and seem to suggest rice wasn’t truthful? I know, saying that is ‘sexist, racist’?

Is this news? Lib/Demofreaks care about one thing, power. Say and do whatever it takes to gain, maintain, or increase their power over us. It’s the lib MO(see gay rights activists, for example).

Anyone who remembers the confirmation hearings of Justice Clarence Thomas know just how exquisitely sensitive Democrats are to attacks on minority nominees.
Socratease on November 27, 2012 at 12:00 PM
Democrats have always been about racial demagoguery. Before the civil rights era, they incited racial emotions against blacks and in favor of whites. When they lost that battle they didn’t switch tactics, they just switched colors.

Ever notice that the people calling for a “national discussion on race” are always liberals?
Yeah, if I got to call everyone a racist and allowed to question their integrity I’d call for a national discussion too. Sounds like a lot of fun. “Hey look at me! Aren’t I special?”
SteveMG on November 27, 2012 at 12:08 PM
It is the ultimate form of racism to expect so little of the first half black president and one of his cows, S. Rice. She is either very stupid, to be this fooled, or just stupid.
Schadenfreude on November 27, 2012 at 12:21 PM
Including and especially Preezy Obeezy. Every step in his brief career has been enabled almost 100% by his race. And every criticism of his disastrous presidency is deemed illegitimate due to his race. We have become, thanks to the inept & corrupt MSM, a nation held hostage by race.
KS Rex on November 27, 2012 at 12:41 PM
I guess the point the liberals are making is: because Susan Rice is black and a woman, you can’t expect her to tell the truth or to know what she’s talking about.
