Heck, that’s not bad at all. I’ve dipped a lot lower than that in my life. Plus I worked seven summers through school in the resort/restaurant business. Some of the best days of my life, and lots of really good people there.

She was cocktail waitressing at the craft beer bar closest to my place of employment at the time. I saw her once and felt the need to leave my number on the check, as she’s gorgeous and exhibited a beer knowledge far surpassing my own. I was there with a (white)Russian friend of mine, who commented upon seeing me writing too much on my check: “Hey, how is she going to know that’s your number and not mine? She may not remember our names”. To this I responded, “Misha! You’re absolutely right!” So I wrote, “I’m the dark one” (being the only puerto rican at the table) under my phone number, and she found it hilarous. She called me that night and we’ve been together ever since.
