The next Bush
Bush, a 36-year-old attorney — who’s served in Afghanistan in the U.S. Navy and helped with the GOP’s Hispanic outreach in Texas — is both a promising politician on the Texas stage and a young Hispanic voice in a party that is figuring out how to mend its image with the country’s growing Latino population.
Last week, Bush’s father emailed supporters a fundraising missive stating that his son is most likely to seek the office of Texas land commissioner in 2014, which is widely seen as a stepping stone to bigger and better things…
“George P. was raised in a bi-cultural home in south Florida — he’s not only bilingual, he is bi-cultural and is fully comfortable functioning in that world,” said Florida-based GOP strategist Ana Navarro, who ran John McCain’s Hispanic outreach in 2008. “His voice is just the kind that we desperately need in the Republican Party right now.”
One Texas Republican, who asked not to be identified by name, called Bush’s plans to run for office “exciting” for the state’s GOP.

The godless reprobate left is utterly consumed with Bush.
It is amazing to behold.

NO, no, no more Bushs, Clintons, Kennedys and Obamas.
The US is not a dynasty. Go to Hell, all of you.

Honestly, what is their fascination with the Bush clan? It’s not like either of the previous Bush presidents really distinguished themselves in office, and believe it or not we do have other worthy candidates.
It’s well past time for new faces.

Not one sentence about a single position. Isn’t this a little insulting? The Hispanic community doesn’t care about freedom or liberty or taxes. Just whether a candidate is Hispanic.
Like the rest of us aren’t?
Yeah.. we’re on the right track here. Just what we need. A bi-cultural male Kardashian Bush like thingy telling us we need to all just get along and reach across the aisle.
Just what does bi-cultural mean anyway? Probably means he’s comfortable working with RINO’s or communists, Marxists or Democrats and sometimes conservative (at least the compassionate kind) in crafting ever more expansive government.

Definitely not into Bush Famiy worship, but willing to give George P. Bush a chance to earn respect.
Here’s a terrifying thought for all of you: the 2028 Presidential election could be George P. Bush versus RFK grandson and newly-elected Congressman Joseph Kennedy III.

Yeah, but unlike Bush Sr. I hope yourself and others will actually keep your promise. I know I will.
I second your promise but add: No more Bush-like candidates, either. No more candidates like McCain or Romney or the other losers. The last good Republican President was Reagan, the rest stank, and because of rule changes at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Reagan, if the GOP establishment had had such power when he was running, they never would have allowed him to win the nomination. The GOP elites have fixed it so that they can make up and change the rules in the middle of the next Republican nominating process without any checks or balances as their used to be.
The GOP establishment has granted themselves the power to veto candidates they disapprove of, or possibly even appoint a candidate, regardless of how voters feel about it, and the same people who rigged this rule change at the convention are the same GOP establishment, (not necessarily the same specific people but of the same mindset), who opposed Reagan.
If the Republican Party is no longer big enough for another popular anti-establishment candidate like Reagan then it’s no longer big enough for me, and I hope that goes for a lot of others. I will not vote for an un-American, oligarchical political party that has disenfranchised the American people, including myself.
But even if they do undo the stupid rule change it only means that perhaps it’s remotely possible to save the Republican Party, and frankly I think it’s a mistake to waste time trying. It’s more important to save America than it is to save the Republican Party. The GOP is expendable; America is not. The most efficient course is for the corrupt GOP machine to be buried as quickly as possible and a new political party rises from the ashes without all of the Bush/Boehner/McConnel/Romney/Rove types at the top. Less corruption; more freedom and liberty.
FloatingRock on November 25, 2012 at 4:04 AM
The rule changes at the convention are anti-Tea Party. Any Tea Party organization that doesn’t call for the undoing of these rules changes has no credibility, they are tools of the establishment.
FloatingRock on November 25, 2012 at 4:06 AM
If the rule changes aren’t undone in a reasonable amount of time then Tea Party groups need to vocally protest and eventually quit the R-Party to retain any credibility.
FloatingRock on November 25, 2012 at 4:23 AM
Dear Friend,
I have always liked your spirit. No doubt you must have questioned anyone here who had nice words to say about you, but I really did delight in your rebel demeanor.
Now that the election is done–no President Paul; no President Johnson, I thought you would move on to other spectacular battles. But no. You still tilt at windmills (RNC) thinking they are dragons that shut Mr. Paul’s Freedom Fighters out of the convention.
Don Quixote, Ron Paul lost. To the victor go the spoils. The loser doesn’t get to bend future conventions to his grievance. And saying “Reagan” over and over does not the case for a winning position make.
Peace.

To use the “Liberal Leftie” memes, his wife is a beautiful blonde.
For him to have a chance he’d have to have married an asian-black openly bisexual woman.
