Primarily mechanical engineering. Pro/engineer being my primary skill in it. Certainly getting tired of supporting other people’s parent’s as well as my own and my wife’s.

Pro/e is big in China and Hong Kong, but the pay rates are not that high, even for engineers, unless you bring a specialty, but expect to be training your replacements.

The food would be the hardest part for me. Everything is boiled with anise (blech) and from what I hear you can't trust the restaurants. I agree about Japanese food though, I once llived off 7/11 sushi for 6 months and loved it!

Depends on your skills/experience/education, but maybe you can get hired with a corporation that does business there. Make a US salary in a Third World economy, live like a king.
